Got the platter, good amount of good at a good price. However it was underwhelming. The best tasting thing were the fries. The phoritto made me want to stick to the OG pho. It was lacking in flavor and the consommé was not enough to save it. The birria tacos were marginally better and the wings were great. For me it's not worth the drive or the headache in line for 40 minutes. I'll give them points for creativity though.

I wish I had tried this place sooner. They have fun pre-selected weekly platter specials so you can try a variety of foods. I haven't always been a bao bun person, but now I love them! I tried the Southern Soul. The wings are one of my favorite menu items. I got the sweet chili and bang bang flavors. You have to try them!! I wasn't crazy about the ramenrrito, but I can see why people would enjoy it. We opted to add protein and chose the beef short rib, which wasn't flavorful and seemed overly chewy. BYOB for anyone interested!

AMAZZING food. really innovative without sacrificing the quality and taste of the food, which is hard to find sometimes. Got the bao buns and they were perfect texture. make sure to get here early, even though they have tons of seating, it gets packed fast. love the space and the vibe, so fun to do a work lunch or bring friends and family

Cris and Johns, they have brought a hurricane of attention to their business over the past few years. I’ve been many times and each time I tried something new. I can say that the mex/asian inspired fusion is not new to Dallas and it’s not all that. Goes to show why Kieth Lee hasn’t stopped by.Anyway, the food is limited. If they sell out you’re out of luck and they do sell out fast. Big days are valentines, and basically all holidays. Be prepared to be outside waiting in line or be told that the item you want is sold out.Service? What service? They take your order at the front and that’s it! When you’re done they come by fast and pick up your plates.Oh there is this rule that you can not substitute any item, out or in, any combo plate. Period. Which is a number one way to not want to order. Because why can’t I change out the wings for boa buns? Or why can’t I change the ramen to wings. There is no reason.Pictured below is the many times I’ve went and the many different orders I’ve gotten. I’ll add more photos from back in 2020 when I back up my google drive.I can’t lie, the food looks amazing. But honestly it’s nothing different. The ramen you can get from any other ramen spot for cheaper. The wings are basic wings, the beef pho/ramen you can get better and bigger for cheaper at a traditional Asian spot. The tacos ? is something ALL OVER Dallas now it’s almost like that’s all Dallas has to offer. But yea you can get the tacos from anywhere else for way cheaper.Sure come here once or twice but that’s it. Maybe bring it up in a convo and tell someone about it but odds are they have already tried it. But recommend it? That’s a no.Parking is horrible as well! Like I said, be prepared to wait. Minimum an hour.Parking: Parking is very hard to find. Good luck

Food is amazing! I had the angry pho with grilled chicken. I always order to-go though. It's always super packed.

The food was just not good to me this time around. And I typically love it. Also the cashier wasn't very inviting.

This restaurant is a shining example of not judging a book by its cover. The idea of Vietnamese and Mexican food fusion might sound unusual at first, but my experience here was nothing short of fantastic. One of the standout features is the wide range of vegetarian options available across their menu. Whether you're craving Birria, Ramenrrita, Yellow Noodles, or Bao with tofu, there's something for everyone, and each dish is executed flawlessly.Personally, our favorites were the Bao Buns and Ramenrrita; the flavors were simply outstanding.I'll definitely be returning for another dining experience.Regarding logistics, it's worth noting that parking can be a bit challenging, especially during peak hours. The restaurant is located in the same complex as 7-Eleven, so be prepared for potential parking difficulties.Overall, though, the food and experience make it well worth the effort.

Arrive early! Out of everything we ordered the Pho burrito & the Boa bun tacos were delicious! Dry noodles were okay…The Atmosphere and services were great! And the vibes inside the restaurant were everything.

I'm already ready to come back here again. We ordered takeout on a Friday because I heard it gets very busy. I was pleasantly surprised to learn I could order for pickup just 30 min in advance! When we showed up our food was ready right away. It was busy and the line was long for in house ordering but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Good to know for the future. We split the phoritto platter for two. We got the sirricha mayo fries, the bang bang wings and the hot chili wings, the beef phoritto and the birria tacos. The sirricha mayo fries were just that nothing fancy but very tasty. They were a bit soggy cause of getting them take out but no complaints there The bang bang wings were good and had a nice kick to them but the hot chili wings were my favorite, perfect amount of spice. I like that they let you pick two flavors as well The phoritto was soo flavorful!! The tortilla did fall apart a little bit with the lingering sauce in the container but that did not take away for the burrito. The flavor was truly great, the noodles had a ton of flavor The birria tacos may have been better than normal ones I've gotten at Mexican restaurants. The consume had a curry tasting twist to it that went so well with the meat flavor Highly recommend this place to everyone I can totally see why it is so popular and I can not wait to try more things!

The sugared birria bao buns are amazing.. usually get that with the regular birria tacos with the angry pho broth. Great combo for a good price. Wish they had more options for the platters to substitute but it’s still good. Gets busy on the weekends and certain times so I’d either call to ask the wait time or place a to-go order. Really good food overall and great service.

My second time here ! I came on a Friday afternoon! There was a bit of a wait as there was only one register and the couple in front of us had a lot of questions . We got the angry platter the first time we came. Unbeknownst to us the platters get switched ever so often and that platter was no longer available. We opted instead for the Birria and carne asada platter($40). No substitutions are allowed which is extremely annoying. We didn't really want the fries but couldn't sub them so we got a side of wings instead. I also ordered a horchata which was delicious. All in all the meal somehow came up to over $70?! It added up but seemed a bit much for what we received. The noodles of our pho this time were odd. Cut into really short pieces i couldn't truly use my chopsticks . The prime rib was impossible to eat with a plastic fork. We took most of it to go, even though we ordered dine in. The ba buns were the best part, absolutely delicious! The tacos were good but didn't seem super fresh. The fries were cooked to perfection. My first time here we arrived as soon as they opened and our food was amazing. Maybe we'll stick to that timeframe in the future.

We went right before the rush of everyone getting off work. Upon arrival we only waited in line for 2-3 minutes which is great. When getting our order taken we inquired about certain items we've gotten in the past to be substituted and we were unable to do so that was a bit of a downer. Bao buns were PHENOMENAL, Birria tacos could've been slightly crispier, and Pho was good too. The restaurant is always clean, when patrons get up to leave from their meal, staff is there to clean up. Food was 9/10 recommend. Overall Cris and Johns is a beautiful dining experience with great service and thoughtful touches in the decor and ambiance.

So where do we begin, parking was decent, had no trouble finding the place. The vibe was very nice and the seating was spacious although I have been know to prefer more comfortable chairs. Bathrooms were nice and clean as well. Service was great, and the food came out very promptly. NOW FOR THE JUICY... I get scared of places that are TikTok hyped but the food definitely hit, I ordered the burger plater and shared with my best friend. I'd give it a solid 80%. The burger was pretty decent, had an interesting favor I haven't quite tasted before, so definitely worth a try but not necessarily worth ordering again. The spicy wings were my favorite BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ADD A SIDE OF EXTRA HOT SAUCE FOR PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LOVE SPICY I ORDERED HABANERO LEVEL SPICY AND GOT SRIRACHA EQUIVALENT the street fries were crisp, definitely could have ordered another plate, Elote was average. Definitely need to come back to try the other things on the menu but this place is worth a trip out of the house for a late night craving. Very cool concept, and a lot of room for growth. I think especially to improve the burger. You got a unique flavor thats slightly off the mark, with potential to be a 10/10.
