**Review for Crown Block Restaurant**My partner and I chose Crown Block for our 10th anniversary celebration, drawn largely by its unique spinning tower feature. Although we missed out on this experience due to an unfortunate incident involving a past employee, our visit was still memorable.**Food Quality:** The culinary experience at Crown Block was exceptional. Every dish served was a delight, showcasing the chef's expertise and attention to detail. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was cooked to perfection.**Customer Service:** The staff at Crown Block deserves commendation. Their attentive and professional service significantly enhanced our dining experience. Despite the disappointment of the tower not spinning, the waiter's honesty and the staff's overall excellence in service made our evening quite enjoyable.**Atmosphere:** Even without the tower's rotation, the ambience at Crown Block remained inviting and celebratory, perfectly complementing our special occasion.**Special Touches:** The donuts and cotton candy were standout treats, especially for our 5-year-old daughter, who was thoroughly impressed. These thoughtful additions added a layer of joy to our celebration.**Final Thoughts:** Although the primary reason for our visit was the spinning tower experience, which, sadly, we missed due to past safety issues, our anniversary dinner at Crown Block was still worthwhile. The exceptional food, outstanding service, and the joy it brought to our daughter made our celebration special. Hopefully, future enhancements or repairs can be made to restore the full experience for others. Despite the hiccup, we recommend Crown Block for its culinary delights and superb service.

Came to Crown Block with my family today expecting 5 star restaurant food and atmosphere. It was the total opposite servers had an attitude right upon entry food was cold and tasteless. Limited menu for brunch all they basically had was a sushi bar with mostly raw sushi. My family flew all the way in from the Caribbean. Very very disappointed with this restaurant. You are paying just for the view. I do not recommend.

Went for Easter Sunday brunch expecting a nice birthday meal for my mom. The welcome was messy with champagne and mimosas spilling over the glasses; there was no decor or backdrops for the occasion; the “dress code” was not enforced; the service was slow and hard to come by; and the food was nothing special. For the price, there are much better options.

The service is good. The view is good. The food is nowhere near where it needs to be. You cant charge those prices for food that tastes out like that. There is no excuse for it to be that bad. No flavor, cold, and just poorly done. I have never felt the need to write a review before, but this evening changed that.

You’re paying for the view - which is wonderful. It’s a very cool concept, but the food misses the mark pretty hard. Service slow but met expectations and the staff was attentive. The drinks were outrageously priced for not being all that tasty. Sushi was almost too salty to eat, while the pork chop was dry and unseasoned. Steak tartar was nice, but nothing to write home about. The sides were fine, but again hilariously overpriced for what they were. We didn’t take the leftovers home, which is something we typically look forward to. We would have sent the pork chop back, had we not already been there over an hour at that point. We were kind of just ready to go.The true star of the show, food-wise, was the rib cap. It was 9.5/10 delicious.I’m glad we went just for the novelty of it, but we won’t go back.

I am confused how this place doesn't have a higher rating. My wife and I went for our anniversary and the food, service, atmosphere, and everything else was phenomenal. We tend to eat out at up scale places a couple times a month and this one is now high on our list. The steak was perfect as was our appetizers and desserts. We got the asparagus as our side which I would say was our least favorite part of the meal (should have go the mashed potatoes). But saying it was the least favorite part does not mean bad. We will visit again.

This restaurant is not worthy of a single star, I had a horrible time on my fifth year anniversary, the food is tasteless, from the appetizers to the main entree service was horrible I’ve been to 5 star restaurants before and this was the first time that the server told me and my wife to order everything in one sitting, for the pricey they should’ve had a upscale chef, plus there is a whole dress code and there is not an appropriate way the for the ladies wearing heels, my wife’s expensive heels got caught in the gap of the escalator and she almost got hurt really bad if she would’ve left the shoe behind and it ended up all destroyed .We contact them on the official page of the restaurant and they are careless they never answered us.

You pay an up charge for the view. This was our first time dining there last Friday, so admittedly, we had high expectations. We were going for a very special occasion and were celebrating which was made known to the restaurant. We were given a ranch water tasting for the ride up the elevator, which was pretty cool because we could see the reflection of the hall in the building next to us going up. We were met with another hostess at the top and seated at a table near the window- yay! Unfortunately, our view was of the jail and bail bonds as opposed to the city, but still cool to eat up that high - level with the helicopter tours. As this is a fine dining experience, we expected to have a bit more time to make our selections, however, while browsing the drink menu we were asked 3 times if we were ready. We finally selected a moderately priced bottle of wine, as the whiskey and wine were marked up, in most cases, 200-300% in comparison to other restaurants! Then we were advised that they take the full order at once and handle the rest so we could relax. It seemed more as though so we could be rushed through the meal. The bread service was delicious with a bit of melted cheese on top and served with whipped butter and pimento cheese. I would’ve loved to have more but enjoyed the bite sized portion. We ordered the lobster bisque and bursts to share. The bisque was split for us, which was nice. The bisque was a bit thin for my taste and was served with the fresh meat setting on top. For me the soup was a bit thin for a bisque but the flavor was good. There was a decent amount of lobster for the price point. The buratta was also delicious, however the pear buratta on the online menu had been replaced with a fig buratta - again delicious - but I was really looking forward to the pear one.We both ordered the Akaushi Wagyu Striploin for our entree with an add on lobster tail which was served with a single fingerling type potato. The lobster tail was hard to eat as it wasn’t easily removed from the shell and they were very small for the price. The striploins were cooked correctly and good. We also had the trio of sides with mushrooms, onion rings, and creamed corn. The bread in on the onion rings was very thick and we couldn’t tell the batter was made of pretzels, but the jalapeño creamed corn was delicious. After we ate, we were given a single dessert menu - we chose the creme brûlée donut holes which sounded delicious. They were served underneath a full State Fair sized serving of cotton candy. As in you couldn’t even see the donut holes. The dessert was a bit disappointing. Ultimately, we were given just over an hour to enjoy a $500 meal, which was a bit frustrating, and not the fine dining experience timing we’d hoped for.The ambiance. The vireo was nice ( despite it being the jail) it was cool just to be up that high. But the range of guests and attire was also surprising. The dress code was posted at the first hostess stand but there was a range of dress not always in complaisance with the posted list. There were also a surprising number of kids. When we walked around after our meal, we were grateful we arrived when we did as many tables were too close together and did not give a romantic vibe at all.Overall, we would go back for a celebration particularly for the novelty of the experience with other guests who had never experienced it. However, we would better know what to expect and would make our food selections more carefully. The food was good but it wasn’t great and for $500, we were really hoping for phenomenal.
