Very, very good fried catfish and hush puppies - far beyond the norm for that sort of food in this part of the state. Fun decorational gimmicks (wall of donated Big Mouth Billy Bass toys, framed photos of customers and the fish they've caught, etc). Highly recommend.

Food is absolutely amazing. The menu has so many options will be coming back.
Once you walk in you feel like you are in the bayou. The decor and music takes you away, hoping to get a glimpse of the Jenny Food came out fast and very fresh. It's not a large joint inside but they do have additional seating outside.

Are you craving fish, or seafood?? Well this is the perfect spot for you, if your are. The fish fish will satisfy all of your seafood cavings. The fish was cooked and seasoned to a great perfection, the hush puppies made the meal even better. Only complaint is you only get 2 ?. The theme here is incredible, with all of the fish and photos on the walls. I honestly didn’t expect this little restaurant to reel me in, but it is definitely the best fish spot in the downtown area.

I frequent this Flying Fish on Irving Blvd in Dallas and the management and service was bad today. The lady working the register on 4/6/24 not only messed up my order but messed up the order of two of three people behind me. My Finacee ordered Fish and Shrimp and Fries and I requested the same with Beans and Rice and New Potatoes. The first order by my Fiancee was not input into the computer and only mine was put into the computer. The cashier lied when confronted and stated that only one order was made by us. The lady on the register next to her entered the conversation and took up for the cashier who was wrong stating, "she said that she confirmed the order." The employee later came to the table and essentially admitted that she was wrong by asking what she could do to make it right. She added the missing food at this point. The oddity manager was wrong for taking the employee's side without first hand observation. The employee also messed up the orders of two customers who sat next to our table. I have been going to this Flying Fish on Irving Blvd in Dallas and the one on Luther Ln for years without problems. The industry manager was wrong and the employee was wrong trying to save face in front of a customer. Employee #095755.

I tried gumbo and grilled trout. Trout was awesome but gumbo wasn’t upto the mark. You know how gumbo should taste when you are from Lousiana!
Good food can't wait to try the grilled plate with lemon buttered veggies. it tasted better than what I usually get!!!

A great family friendly restaurant for lunch or dinner. The decorations here are a nice touch and seeing people sharing their photo of the fishes they catch is wholesome. The service here is quick and fast when I came in here for lunch. The fried shrimp and fried catfish that I got tasted all right. The fried shrimp tasted better than the fried catfish for sure. There are definitely better places to get fried catfish than here.

The food was very good. However, my review speaks to staff. The cashier, a man, and another employee, a woman. were having a heated argument right in front of me and my daughter as we were ordering the food. It was so inappropriate. I got the feeling that we were interrupting something. I felt like suggesting: “when you are finished with your issues, we will order.” Then they want a tip?? What for? I order at the counter. Pick up at the counter, fill my own drink, etc.
