A solid burger, but I think the hype is undeserved. The food is good but in my opinion you can get a tastier old school style burger elsewhere or a more adventurous burger from other Texas chains. It does have an amazing beer collection, both on draft and canned.

The burgers are fresh and huge. You won’t be disappointed with the taste. I think they have the best burgers

The burgers was awesome. We got El Tres and The Barn Burner. Both were excellent choices. We got them with veggie oattiest and it was delicious.

I'm really obssesed with these burgers; the onion rings and their ADDICTIVE banana pudding. Well worth the money.

The service was outstanding and the food was even better ?

My husband and I went during an afternoon and were able to find seating right away. It's a counter order, seat yourself, type restaurant located in an upscale shopping center area (Turtle Creek Village location). We parked in a parking garage located within a few steps from the doors, however there is also plenty of open parking in front as well. They have a small outdoor sidewalk eating area and a nice bar inside with booths and tables. IPA beer on tap is absolutely delicious here! I ordered the Haystack burger well done and it was cooked still pretty pink inside plus it was dripping in sauce, which is why I'm taking off a star. My husband ordered the Escabece burger well done and his was cooked perfectly and was very delicious!! Not too spicy, just full of flavor. The fries were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The Oreo shake - amazing! Don't forget to eat the cookie bits on the bottom of the cup! You won't regret coming here and leave very full and happy.

Good burgers and onion rings but tried the chicken sandwich and was disappointed. The chicken breast had been pounded down so thin it was barely there. Oh well, stick to the burgers next time.

great food and nice outside dining.

Highly overrated burger joint. The burgers are huge and the environment is nice. Sadly the burger is tasteless. Bigger is not better if it has little flavor. In this market there are numerous better options.

The burgers were very juicy... Loved their onion ring sticks or whatever they called.

I've been frequenting Haystack on Beltline & 75 a couple of times a week for years. It's slipping. The last month or so they've kept the restaurant pretty cold, 63-64. I'm a fairly warm-natured person, so not a huge deal. I went in this week and it was freezing. Most of the employees and customers had coats on. The digital thermostat is on the wall in clear view. The setting and current temp read 63. I asked the new manager if they really intended to keep it so cold or was there a heat problem. His response was that thermostat wasn't the real working thermostat, it wasn't 63, and the thermostat was down the wall. There is not a thermostat down the wall where he pointed. The previous manager and I discussed the temp and thermostat a few weeks ago. The food is good, but if your businesses success hangs in peril by a few degrees, you're probably done. Further, placating a client with lies is never good business.

My top spot for delicious burgers. Super place to meet and chat with coworkers. Atmosphere is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I loved.

Love everything about Haystack. Great service, atmosphere and food. The fried pickles are a must.

Sometimes a rating isn't necessarily about any specific item but the overall experience. I'm in town on business and wanted a good burger. The Yelp reviews led me to Haystack. I started out with the chili and the chicken stuffed jalapeno poppers. Though the chili wasn't exactly my favorite style it was still very good. Note that it is no bean chili which I like. While I prefer to find cream cheese or cheddar cheese when I bite into jalapeno poppers, the shredded chicken was an interesting change of pace. They were perfectly made and fried. My server Edgar gave me a detailed description of each of the 3 items I had narrowed it down to. I went with the Barn Burner which is a burger with pepper jack cheese, grilled poblano pepper, pico, chipotle mayo, lettuce and a side of queso. Dipping the burger into the queso made it awesome. While it was slightly different than I was expecting, it was juicy and perfectly cooked. They offer a good selection of craft brews along with wine and some other interesting options (I had the Mosaic IPA). I love the way it is decorated as well as the general feeling of the place. My server Edgar came back several times to see if everything was good and to get my feedback even though they were really busy. I was impressed that everyone of the employees seemed to know exactly what they were supposed to be doing (unlike many other places). I learned that not everything has to be perfect to have a 5 star experience. All in all, a great meal and a great restaurant. I will definitely be back to try some of the other burger options.
