Hunky's is one of those places that you can always count on. Delicious burgers, vegetarian options, and the best onion rings ever! Always consistent, even though they forgot one of our onion rings orders this trip, so I couldn't give them a 5. Their cakes are the best in Texas - especially the Strawberry. You can tell that they are baked by someone who has some exceptional family, Southern style recipes in their rolodex. Please Hunkys, never change.

Solid, classic American diner experience, complete with 50s style tables and chairs/booths. Chili is smooth, dogs aren't wimpy at all, and the burgers are juicy. The value is amazing!Friendly, attentive staff. Clean and cared for. Consistently busy but food comes out at a good pace. A great, affordable option, rare in a touristy area. Great if you want some solid comfort food. Best onion rings!Bathrooms are gendered single rooms.Parking: Lots of parking in the area, may need to walk a littleKid-friendliness: Plenty of room for kids, very family friendly. High chairs and booster seats clean and ready to go

Who puts a tomato like this on a burger? Is it all about making a buck, or do you just not care? Clean your bathroom, you can smell the urine 30 feet away from the door. The urinal didn't even flush. The odor of a week long unflushed toilet fills your restaurant with a nasty smell. Is it too much to have one of the employees take a bucket of water in there every few hours to flush the stench until you get it fixed? They certainly aren't busy making sure the burgers are delicious. You shouldn't even be open in these conditions.

We came here after bishop bazaar because we were craving burgers. cute old school diner vibe. The staff is friendly and tried to get through the line quickly. They validate parking for 2 hour timeframe - you can do so by the register. They have their standard menu and have a whiteboard with other options. We got the Hunky's Texas burger with sweet potato fries and jalapeno poppers. One of our poppers was very cold but the others were good. My parents got the hotdog and fried mushrooms. They also serve beer, wine, premade cocktails which is nice.Parking: They validate parking for 2 hour timeframe - you can do so by the register.

My favorite thing about Hunky’s is the ambiance! It still has the look and feel of an old school diner, which is great in a neighborhood like Bishop Arts where there is a lot of new. The burgers are delicious and the cakes are a nice treat if you have room for more! Most recently I got the chicken finger basket and was disappointed because chicken tasted a bit like frozen chicken.Parking: They validate parking!
