Was skeptical about the gravy seeing that I don’t like anyone’s gravy but the gravy mixed with the syrupy on the chicken and waffle was different but pretty good. Plus their Menu has options for those who don’t like Pork also. Will recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice fulfilling meal for a nice buck and a nice drink.

Today I visited this diner. My waitress was not friendly at all! I spent more time watching her pick up her phone and talk to her coworkers. I let her know it was my 1st time. She was short snappy and did bear minimum. I asked for extra gravy for my steak and was charged extra $3. (I felt a bit obsessive seeing as though it already came with my meal. The meal was nice portion size but I felt totally un welcomed! No smile from anyone, and complaints when I asked for a spoon to stare my coffee and a warmup on my cup. 1st and last time visiting. Based on service alone not worth my 10minute drive

Jonathon’s had been on my list since I moved to Dallas. It’s a local favorite, so I was glad to go.Unfortunately, I wasn’t blown away. The service was mid - it wasn’t as welcoming as I’d expect from a diner. It kind of felt as if they were indifferent about serving us.The atmosphere is fine, it’s what you’d expect from a diner. It was small and quaint. Now for the food, it was decent. They give you hearty portions and the flavor is okay. I ordered biscuits & gravy (I was quite disappointed - this is my favorite breakfast dish; it was brown gravy and the seasoning was off), eggs (delicious - they were cooked perfectly), grits (amazing — I could’ve filled up on them alone) & turkey sausage (not good at all, the texture wasn’t the best). I also had margarita. My total was around $30. I think it’s worth a try, but I don’t know if I will try again anytime soon.Parking: They have a free parking lot, but since they’re typically busy it was hard to find a spot

This is one of my top favorite breakfast places to go. Their food is always good! The service is good. The wait isn't long. You can't go wrong with this place. I've been here twice and I got the peanut butter and jelly waffle the first time and the second time I got the chicken and biscuit with egg and breakfast potatoes both of those were 10 out of 10! The ambience was nice and comforting.

The customer service is HORRIBLE, the fat guy who added us to the waitlist was really rude when we asked about our wait time because we had already been waiting for over 45 minutes. They initially said it would be a 30 minute wait then gave us an option to split the table so we decided to go ahead and out of nowhere he said he didn’t have the tables to split us either .. which was a complete lie. He then told us we could go eat somewhere else if we didn’t want to wait… completely RUDE even though we never got an attitude with him. Not only did he waste our time he lied to our face about the seating situation. Will NEVER come back or recommend this place. We drove up the street to another restaurant and were able to be sat down immediately! They need to work on their customer service here!!

I really wanted to try this place based on the food reviews but they just made me waste my time. Was in Dallas from out of town and we asked for a table of 8. Was told it would be a 30 minute wait. We waited outside since we were told they would call us. 40 minutes in, I went to ask for an update and they told me that they weren’t sure how much longer it would be. They said they had a table for 5 but that it would require for them to split the other 3. I went to discuss it with my family and they agreed. I went back to accept and they kept making excuses acting as if they didn’t want to seat us. Meanwhile they kept seating other customers. They ended up asking me if the check was going to be 1 or split. Why would that matter? They started making more excuses and basically said that they still couldn’t accommodate us separately after they offered to seat us at least separately. We ended up having to leave.I never leave reviews but this was very inconsiderate of them. They made us waste more than an hour for nothing. Please save your time and go somewhere else. Horrible service and communication! The employees were a fat guy with a slight beard and another guy that looked filipino.

Visited this place 3/25/2024 party of 5. The waiter that seated us didn’t even great us. It took about 10 minutes for a waitress to come take our drinks and food order. That same waiter sat another party behind us and within 2 min he brought their drinks. Meanwhile we were sitting there 20 plus minutes without any drinks nor acknowledgement. Please do not visit this place flat out DISCRIMINATION

I found this place on yelp. We were greeted and taken to a table but decided to sit at the bar because it was a bit drafty with the door opening and closing. The wicked ginger drink was tasty. I love ginger so I was excited to try the drink. Honestly, the breakfast corn dogs are why I came. I wished the pancakes were a bit sweeter, but I was happy to see the meat inside was turkey! I wasn't a fan of the spicy mustard, but with some syrup and ketchup, it was just what I was looking for. The grits were amazing without any doctoring, and the parm cheese in it was a tasty surprise. It seems they use all fresh everything there, which I love. I must say they do give a lot of food... you will not leave hungry! The chicken steak was a bit bland to me but the gravy helped that. The potatoes were well seasoned and the eggs were good as well. I would definitely recommend visiting this little gem if you are in Dallas.
