The restaurant is decently decorated. Seems like the New Orleans theme is more so in the area where all the booths are then the rest is more sports bar. The drinks are WAY overpriced. They were playing first line music. I had a drink called the Oak Cliff ($25- middle drink in photo) and it wasn't very strong at all. They were out of greens, green beans and broccoli (NOTE: our reservation was at 7:30p). They gave us complimentary hush puppies when we were seated. As soon as we tasted them, we knew exactly why they were complimentary. They were clearly old and had been sitting. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer. They were over cooked on the outside, but you could tell they did actually use real crab. I ordered the bowl of seafood gumbo. The rice was hard, the rest was not bad. It was just shrimp and sausage though...no crab. The baked mac and cheese was DELISH!! Very good and cheesy. The peach cobbler was good. Great ratio between crust and peaches. Great flavor. Service was okay. Our waitress Bree was sweet. From the bar to the kitchen service was VERY slow though, and it wasn't super packed. All in all, would I go back? Not likely.

Please. Club with wannabe Cajun food. Might as well just sell cheese sticks and wings.

This was the worst service & experience I've had at a restaurant in years. I regret coming here to have my birthday dinner as this experience caused us to miss our next stop a boat ride on the lake ( $ lost ).I will however say my issues are common and typical for new restaurants that I consider growing pains. We arrived at 8:25 and the welcome was very warm and inviting. They had a really good size crowd in there and the atmosphere was booming and vibrant. This place is much bigger than the pictures posted here and can cater to large groups. The establishment & restroom were very clean. They appeared to have a full staff but was very busy.We were seated and it took 30 mins to get water. The water comes and there was lipstick on the glass (yuk) and that should have been my que to leave. We placed our food order & it literally took 2 1/2 hours to get our food. They explained that the kitchen got backed up which was the cause for delay. 1 family got up and left at the 2 hour mark due to their kids starving. Do not come here if you are super hungry or near starving due to the wait. Our food arrived and we had to borrow ketchup from another table and were not provided condiments. I was super disappointed and hangry. The fries were drowned in grease and we ate a few. The portions and presentation were great, that I give them. After we were done we were ready to run out of there to catch our boat ride but dinner took 3 hours. We had to wait 30 mins just to check out. The awesome band natural change is what kept us around and distracted. Please put crackers in your purse in case there is a wait. Even water takes 20-30 mins. The water glasses came in different sizes and I assume the dish washer was behind. We had small water glasses and some tables had big glasses. After customers left the tables just sat until a host got free to clean them so they are not able to flip them quickly. Those poor waitresses end up catching the backlash because the boh doesn't have it together. They are dealing with hungry people who have been waiting for hours and frustrated people. I assume they don't make good tips due to experiences like mine. The tables aren't flipped fast enough to get more people in those seats to increase their tips. They could use a floor General who could go from table to table checking in with customers to assist with delayed orders, courtesy checks and to assist with the flow.I will give them another 6 months before I return. Once the kinks are worked out this place should dominate their intended audience. Game days will be superb here !!!! Its decorated nicely, the staff was dressed professionally, the band was the bomb, several flat screen tv's & many other good things.I wasn't expecting a free meal nor a huge discount. I just hate this place ruined my birthday and made me lose $.

False advertisement. No communication between valet and hostess. No tables for food after 9 pm because it turns into a club. Trying to have dinner for my HBD was horrible. Ugh. Heading back to Philly. Security guards were nice.

I came here with my Finance, and being from New Orleans just moved to Dallas I thought why not try it. The food is not authentic. The food is oily/greasy. You can't taste the flavor of the food because it is Salted to the max and I'm Cajun. Customer service is horrible as well as being charged 25% gratuity for 2 people.. won't be back and advise people to steer clear from here. Much better options.

The ambiance was amazing... the live music was to die for... it was my first visit... I was looking forward to visiting N'awlins. I was not impressed by the service I received I ordered food... a house salad and fries and 3 hours later I had never received my order. I had to go back 5 times and ask for a manager which I never saw and 5 times to ask for my money back. I was truly saddened by this occurrence. The restroom while beautifully decorated... it was disgusting inside... only one stall worked and you could smell it before you entered it. I was so impressed with everything else so I am most definitely gonna chalk it up to an off night and visit again... I would love nothing more than to give N'awlins the 10 stars that I feel they rightfully deserve. Til then...

Had a girls night out and decided to check this place out. They had a live band that was awesome! Food and drinks are not to bad. Service took a min, but wasn't to bad with the entertainment and conversation. I loved the atmosphere and the look of the restaurant. It was a great night for hanging out on the patio also.. Will give it another try soon!

Just tried this place for the first time today. Me & my friend drove by on the way to another restaurant and literally turned around to come here. Specifically based off the name alone and saw that it was black owned and figured the food would match our liking. Me personally I have more empathy and understanding towards newer businesses and especially B.O.B. (Especially restaurants b/c I've worked in several myself) With that being said! I just want to share my pros & cons * I was happy to be greeted by nice friendly (mostly women) staff. And I was greeted by other staff walking by. Very refreshing. * I ordered Shrimp basket & collard greens w/Turkey , crawfish bread & 2 whiskey sours * collards came with sausage & not Turkey (it would've been nice to have a heads up that I wasn't getting Turkey and getting sausage.) Also it was toooooo salty (and I like salt!) but I couldn't finish it * crawfish bread (crawfish dip w/ slices of bread) was DELISH! but I had to pay extra for more bread in order for me to finish the bowl lol wasn't feelin that..but I paid for it cuz it was that good. * shrimp was perfectly fried n seasoned * drinks were decent My friend ordered oysters as soon as the waitress greeted us and it took a lil min for them to let us know they were out...I feel like that's something the kitchen should already know before the restaurant even opens..and then u communicate that to the wait staff..so yeah Ambiance was nice, loved the music and the setup of the restaurant, and bathrooms were clean and cute decor inside Idk if they've always been doing this butttt me & my friend (party of TWO) were charged 22% gratuity..each Honestly if THAT MUCH gratuity is included regardless, the customer service need to be on Chick-fil-A level and then I would have gave more in addition lol (I always tip b/c of being a previous server) but that's their choice to do..hey ‍ We came in right when they opened..I liked that happy hour started as soon as they opened. (5-7pm) Now that they have the major things setup I hope they start focusing on the small things that make a HUGE difference in building REPEAT customers. I would possibly give it a try again.

We tried a little of everything on the menu. We ordered the green gumbo, wings, catfish basket, grits , and greens. The catfish and greens stole the show. Hot sauce was not needed. The fish and greens were seasoned perfectly! The atmosphere was great and so was our server. We will be back for dessert and the live band.

Overall it was a good experience. Atmosphere was really nice and welcoming. Staff, Kitty, was very prompt and helpful. Everything my wife and I had was good. They had vegetarian gumbo for her which was nice. I had fried catfish basket with fries and mac and cheese. Mac and cheese came out maybe about 10 mins before the catfish and fries. Everything tasted great. Fish and fries were hot. The live music was also a nice touch.

Tasty food and great service. Would love to give 5 stars, but have had better cajun food at other restaurants. My friend from New Orleans who joined me agreed with my review.Would definitely eat here again.
