I have NEVER had this bad of an experience w/ a Dallas Steakhouse. For context me and my boyfriend scheduled our 3 year anniversary dinner here 3 weeks in advance. Our reservation was at 8:30 and we arrived at 8:25 to check in and they said they’d get us seated shortly, no big deal. About 15 minutes later I went to ask about our table and was told they were a little behind so just a little longer, which I can understand for a Saturday night. We didn’t end up sitting down until 9:10. To make matters worse, they sat us in the BAR. Right in the middle of the bar. people were walking by us getting drinks why they waited for their table. Even put a “reserved” tag on the table… And because it wasn’t the main dining room they had loud music playing, so people were having to scream to hear each other. I couldn’t even hear my boyfriend AT ALL sitting right next to me and our poor waitress was screaming at us to get our drink order. We ordered waters and just decided to get up and leave. Happy anniversary! but sorry you can’t talk to each other cause we overbooked the restaurant and now you have to sit in the bar? I’m super disappointed especially because I had friends tell me this place was amazing. Me and my boyfriend are young so I figure they thought they wouldn’t get enough money out of us or something so just sit them wherever but if you think i’m spending any kind’ve money to sit in a loud crowded bar for my anniversary you are sadly mistaken.

This restaurant is outrageous. We had a reservation at 9pm and they did not seat us until 10:45. They have no respect for their clients and they are completely unorganized. If you want good steak go to Albiernat’s. Do not go here.

First experience at N&S. We had reservations. It's very dark upon your entrance and throughout. You may need your phone light to see the menu good. EJ was an awesome server and went through his spill. We ordered the filet mignon, shared au gratin potatoes and brocollini spears. 2nd entree was pork chops. The meats were very tender and the entire meal was filling for 2. It's a little loud and we sat next to a long table of 36 men(extra loud). Oh, and the tables are very close together. All servers were pleasant. Pianist played nice soft music. Not really to big on their raw meat presentation, not sure if I should've been impressed. I will say, it smelled like bloody raw meat, which they place right at or close to your table and the smell stays with you for awhile. Overall, great experience and our food was very tasty. Parking was valet. Currently, there is construction in the area so, some roads are closed. No major complaints.

Went to take someone for their birthday and it was an important birthday (50th) and she always wanted to go there. To start, we had to wait while a server stared us in the face (even though we had a reservation) for almost 10 minutes and then she said "have you been helped?" --No- we just wanted to look at the people walking in. We were finally seated and placed our order. Food was good. Porterhouse was better than I expected and the person I was with had a good filet mignon. Food and drinks were good (should be expectation for what you are spending), but here is what annoyed me. The filet was a little too much for her so we decided to box it. I told our waiter 3 times (3) specifically what was being boxed and what was being left. He left, came back when it was time to order dessert and I proceeded to tell him "don't forget to box these two as well because they are going with this steak" he assured me ALL 3 TIMES that "I've got it sir". Ordered dessert (which was very good-- red velvet cake) and went home. My guests got home and guess what?!?! he forgot her filet mignon. How do you forget the ONE thing you are pretty famous for (Steak) when you are boxing it?

Updated review (2024): Before we moved, this was our favorite date night spot, so I booked a reservation while we were in town and looked forward to a great time.Unfortunately, despite arriving about 10 minutes prior to our reservation, we weren't seated until 45 minutes after the reservation, only to be seated at a table with just one menu. When I was finally brought my own menu, it was covered in some type of soda and sticky throughout. We placed our order a full hour after arriving at the restaurant, and received a pretty mediocre appetizer of bao buns and steaks that were unevenly cooked.Probably 2/3 of my steak was the right temperature but somehow one end was cooked to the texture of shoe rubber, while my wife's steak had a similar problem where one end was practically raw.As usual, a manager did come by the table to ask how everything was. I explained we'd waited close to an hour to be seated despite having a reservation and was more or less met with a "well the host station isn't my problem" response.Overall it was an extremely disappointing evening to have our favorite steakhouse ruined.Original review (2019):Favorite steakhouse in Dallas, always great food and service. Absolutely have to try their 7 layer chocolate cake!
