I am a sucker for seafood and I love crab. They have crab meats by the pound, chilled and cooked, ready for eating. It's a bit pricy but give it a try before making judgement. I like it. But the service could be better. Perhaps they were busy and only one person available to help. I was standing there, waiting for that person to help me while I was hungry, and it took quite a while.Parking: Located in the Dallas Farmers Market, plenty of paid parking on the street.

The salmon burger and fries were great. The Connecticut lobster roll was great. We had the crawfish hushpuppies as an appetizer and it was great. I've only tried a few items but it was enough for me to come again and the guess working the front are really cool guys. It's in the Dallas farmers market.

The customer service and all of the other seafood is nice. This review is for the crawfish since it pops up for crawfish when you search. I got crawfish from here once, and most of them were rotted and no good. I do not recommend for crawfish. Totally wasted my money.

Rex’s is more than an oyster bar in the Farmers Market downtown Dallas which has tons of seafood options. Had the shuckers choice dozen from the oyster menu and the East Beach from RI oysters had a brine and texture/consistency of a cold water oyster. Amazing our favorite and all were delicious! Had such a fun Sat night sitting at the bar, people watching and enjoying the experience. We also had a bread bowl seafood gumbo as well as the crab tortilla soup. Top notch place

I purchased my lunch on 12/31/23, the cashier, a white person whose preferred pronoun I cannot identify so I'll refer as cashier, was alternating between two cash registers. When the cashier finished the order with the white lady in front of me and moved to the other cash register, the cashier intentionally skipped me (a Taiwanese lady U.S. citizen for over 30 years) who's next in line, and gestured another white lady behind me to serve her first. When I voiced objection that I was next in line, the cashier seemed disgusted by my disapproval and was not at all apologetic. The white lady customer behind me was actually apologetic and let me go first. When taking my order, the cashier was cold and clearly showed unwillingness to serve me, I still tipped even though I was quire upset. When the cashier finished with my order and turned to serve the white lady behind me the cashier was much warmer and friendlier to her. This is the first time in a long time that I felt I am being discriminated for my race, or presumed national origin which I'm anything but. At any rate I believe Rex Seafood owes me an explanation or an apology.

This is a great spot to grab something to eat while at the market especially if you like seafood. They have a good menu with a variety of options and they serve brunch too which is a plus. I wasn’t too crazy about the crawfish hushpuppies because I didn’t really like the raspberry chipotle sauce. The crab cake sandwich was good and a really great portion for the price. The service was quick and friendly! The bar was busy (it was Sunday) so there was a wait to sit at the counter. I enjoyed the open space and being in the market, really fun and relaxing vibe!

We stopped here after searching best seafood in Dallas... yes, seafood. We didn't want to dress fancy but wanted quality too. At the market downtown Dallas was perfect. The oysters and crabcakes were to perfection. The jalapeño crab bisque was good for a change-up. They service was exceptional and hospitality spot on.
