Charming, kindly owner does everything himself. The food is delicious, all the kebabs and lamb shank were incredible. Samad’s Cafe is 100% worth it

We could order the special with or without meat and either way was wonderful. Best meal we had while visiting Texas! Very welcoming atmosphere and large portions.

Stumbled across this wonderful cafe today and am SO glad I did!The lamb shanks were fall-apart tender and delicious!Kinda hard to find the cafe, as it is small and tucked into a corner of an industrial-looking yard, but it is well worth the search!

You may not even recognize it as a restaurant from the outside but the food is worth it. Will make this a requirement each trip to Dallas.

VISIT THIS SPOT! Big portions served up by a chef who has been selling his homemade Persian meals in the area for 35yrs. This should be an essential stop for anyone in Dallas. And even if you don't have a single thing to eat and just want some tea and a place to relax for a bit, you will leave happy - the owner is a lovely, gracious man. Highly recommend!

So glad my coworker found this place. There are daily specials and we tried the Thursday daily special along with the beef kabob. The owner was extremely nice and pleasant, he even let us sample the Thursday special before we ordered it. Great hospitality and very delicious food with generous portions! Excited to go back and try the other daily specials.

Amazing food and service from the owner. Will definitely be back again. Had lamb koobideh - awesome!
Chicken kebab is perfectly grilled and still juicy. There is a lot of rice and it is pretty dry, even with the butter.

Got fooled by all these positive comments!I’ve been to so many Persian(Iranian) restaurants in Iran(many cities), Canada(Vancouver), California(LA,OC,…), Nevada, New York,…I’ve never seen anything like this!!Drove ~30min and turned around twice to find this place with no clear entrance sign.Filthy environment(not nostalgic at all), awful attitude of the owner (not friendly at all), …I was patient and tried not to judge at first…However, when I got my food (Kabab and Chicken breast) I felt like I was being served in a Prison! Terrible! (I’ve never had to leave any restaurant in my life)I still thanked the guy and respectfully said didn’t like my food and willing to pay the bill…didn’t want to make any negative vibe…He got upset though and threw my food in the trash said I don’t know anything about Kabab!I left 5$ for my drink and left the store…should’ve listened to my heart before I step here…Very shocked and disappointed!!(This place definitely needs health inspection by the city too)

I have been going to eat at Sam's since 2006, his food is fantastic, and Sam is amazing. Five stars is not enough, in my book he gets 100. It's that good.....
