My love found this little spot scrolling through her IG feed. So, one day, we decided to give them a try, which turned out to be the best decision ever! The staff is friendly and quick, plus the location is convenient. We usually try to sample a new flavor every visit. But this quickly became our weekend ritual. For a guilt free treat that we would share. Now that the summer is coming to an end, the hut will be closing for the season. But it's nice to know they have a food truck that will be out and about. Yelpers, if you haven't had the opportunity to explore this delicious treat, don't drag your feet. Their last day this season is Oct 31st. Our pick

So I have been wanting to check out So Icy for a minute because my friend has been talking about it, and there is even a tik tock about it. I checked out reviews online and saw the menu, so I had an idea of what I wanted to try. I also noticed comments about them selling out before the end of their posted hours. I think we got there about 7, and we saw a line as we pulled up unto the parking lot they are located in.. it is a big parking lot but it is packed because of their location. As we walked up, we started seeing people walking away...that was because they had used all of their toppings and only had a little bit of mango and lemon left. What I appreciated, though, is they passed out what they had left for free and passed out rewards cards for your next visit. For me, the mango was a little sweet for my taste, but the lemon was more my speed, a little tart, and it cut the sweetness. I will definitely go back so I can get the whole experience. Take my advice, if you want to get what you want, go early!!

The owner fixed overcharging me days after I found it on my statement, no problem! This small stand in the heart of the city is worth the drive, you won't be disappointed!

This place did a decent job with my water ice my first time going. It beats having to drive to Arlington for Rita’s. HOWEVER, recently on a Thursday night I was out to dinner in bishop arts with my friend and hyping this place up. She got all excited and we opted to come here for desert rather than having it at the restaurant we were at. We pull up just before 9:30 and alas, it’s boarded up and closed. I hate when a B.O.B. does B.O.B. ish…now, if your business hours say you’re open til 10, why can’t the customer expect that you’ll be there until 10, instead of me having us both drive out here and embarrassing myself. If it’s an emergency and you have to close early, a sign in the window would go a long way.

Customer service is not good. It appears the person preferred to be somewhere else. It is not worth $10 and it was not smooth ice chunks inside. Do not recommend.

Let me be the first to tell you that if you think that you have until closing time to make your way here, you might get here and find yourself disappointed because they will likely be sold out. We arrived on a Saturday early evening and as others have stated it's a small shed with a window to order from but I don't recall anyone ever calling it an ice cream shop. This is ice water, no exactly a snow cone and not ice cream but definitely something nice to have, especially on a hot day. When we arrived there was a small line and folks sitting in their cars or at the tables under the tent enjoying their treat. Folks were quick to let us know that they only had two flavors left so we needed to be quick and they didn't tell no lie. We literally were the last to get what they had and she was literally scraping the bottom of the container to get it for us. The lemon is refreshing and tart, the mango is sweet and delicious. And they left me wishing I had gotten there early to have my pick of flavors. With that said, will I be back? Definitely. They give you a punch card so make sure to get one and have it punched on each visit.
I wanted to give this place a 3.5 but was leaning toward more 4 so I felt generous. To be clear, this is a small garden shed in the corner of a parking lot in the Trinity Grove area. Plenty of parking and a couple of plastic tables with shade (which was greatly appreciated). Multiple flavors were out when we got there and gelati wasn't available. They said they haven't been serving the ice cream for awhile since it was too hot and it kept melting. The service was perfectly fine but definitely a little disappointed that so much was unavailable. I had coconut and my wife had strawberry lemonade. Both were perfectly fine but not extremely impressive. A good status quo Philadelphia flavored ice option.

3 stars only because they only had one flavor left when we showed up. Passion fruit was very good and we added chamoy and tajin. The girl taking orders was not friendly at all. She seemed annoyed that we showed up. But I will be going back.

Pretty convenient spot, decided to try it on a whim. I’m hovering between rating a 3.8-4 because the flavor I choose -strawberry lemonade- was great, but on the flip side the rainbow flavor just lacked flavor in general. This was a quick grab and go sweet treat but not sure if I’ll crave it. also while the staff was nice, they weren’t very knowledgeable about all the flavors. I wanted to try something different but ended up with the strawberry lemonade- did not disappoint. Definitely try it out if you can. They also have some outdoor seating areas if you want to enjoy it there but keep in mind it’s very limited.
