The service was great and food AWESOME! I'm not a vegan, but this place may turn me around on that concept. The portions are huge. I highly recommend "The Triple Double". The atmosphere was like a true dinner. We had the Chili-Cheese Home Fries, and I could not tell the chili was not real meat! I'm definitely going back really soon. ?

Highly recommended! It's been rated as the best vegan restaurant in Texas and no wonder why.. excelent food, great service and cozy environment. They have a wide variety of food including beyong burgers and chicken tenders for the non vegan customers.. If you're around It's absolutely not to be missed! ??????

Love all the great vegan options!!! 4 top, we waited 45 minutes for a table Sunday. Not busy at all! Wait for food was 20 minutes. Server never offered drink refills. Never cleared our table. Spent 20+ minutes with a 3 top "taking there order?" Waiting for check 30 minutes! Server brought check to us only after I went to that table trying to get his attention. He ignored me. Gave us our check a few minutes later. I tipped him $0. Reason for this review is to paint a picture of a problem that can be easily solved. If servers are prompt with their tables needs, they can turn over more tables! More tables, more tips for servers, more money for restaurant, and less frustration for customers by not having a 2+ hour lunch! What a shame

The nachos are eeeeeverything! Portion is giant too. I always get a JR and still make like 3 meals of it. The online ordering website is kinda annoying but food is worth it.

I love this place and am super nostalgic about it as it is the first vegan bakery I've tried as a vegetarian who sometimes craves meat. I always love the food and it was my go to date spot. However, every time we go the service is incredibly slow. I get that they might be short staffed, but honestly I see servers standing around talking more than anything. I'm fine not being wined and dined but at least give me an iPad to order myself and get my water at the fountain. I recommend it highly but do NOT go if you are already hungry or thirsty because you will be waiting.

I was surprised to find a vegan breakfast spot in Dallas. The menu is extensive, but unfortunately, the day we went they ran out of tofu scramble and bacon so there weren't that many breakfast options available. I had the fajita quesadilla and my fiancé had the El Paso burger with the cashew-quinoa patty. Both were really good and the portions are HUGE! Would recommend it to my fellow vegans! The only downside is the parking situation. The lot is really tiny and hard to park with all the pickup trucks

We arrived around 3:15 on a Friday afternoon with a party of 6. There were 6 open tables, but the woman who came to seat us said she couldn't at the time but maybe in an hour and a half. When I asked why and commented on the open tables, she said there was a large group in the back that was expecting more people and they'd be moved to more tables. Calmer heads prevailed and another employee stepped in to intervene. She was kind and attentive and quickly seated us with 2 4-tops pushed together. The "large group" actually never grew and left the restaurant within a few minutes of us being seated. The food was delicious and the service was great!

Awesome, as always! The menu is almost back to full size now and the food tastes great. Mostly organic and always cruelty-free, there is so much to LOVE about Spiral Diner. It's a must-visit restaurant for both flesh eaters and vegans alike.

Ellen and I went to lunch at Spiral Diner & Bakery last week and found it to be one of our finest discoveries in our newly adopted hometown, Dallas. Everything on the menu is vegan, while they don't advertise that on their menu. Pretty clever of them, and my carnivore wife loved everything about the place! I did, too. Ellen had a hotdog craving, so she ordered the Classic Dog with pasta salad. She loved it because the dog approximated her beloved hometown Chicago hot dog. I had Hell's Half Acre featuring breaded soy chik'n strips in barbeque sauce, with a double dose of their amazing dill potato salad. I substituted the extra potato salad instead of their mac & cheese because the cheese is made with coconut oil as a main ingredient, which is about as dangerous to the heart as beef and pork fat. Then to top off the meal, we shared the magnificent Chocolate Mountain Mudslide for dessert, with a warm chocolate pecan brownie under the mountain. All their baked goods are made with heart-healthy canola oil, so in our zeal we bought six of their generous cookies for our freezer before we left. Jacob was not only our superb server, but an outstanding menu consultant in offering cool advice on their impressive selection of offerings. We enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant, the great mix of people there, and just everything about it. We will be going back--a lot!

Loved the Frito chili pie! As a non-vegan or non-vegetarian I found it delicious! Also I've found a lot of places add hot spices to make vegan / vegetarian food more flavorful but I don't like spicy food. This was not spicy and was still flavorful! The red velvet cake was delicious and fancy looking too!

Ya'll... seriously.... OH EM GEE!!!!The food here is INSANELY delicious ?The atmosphere and staff are also wonderful, but I would probably still return even if they were rude ? because the food is SOOOOO GOOD! I live exactly an hour away from both the Dallas and Denton locations, but will totally make the drive - if someone were to open a franchise in the Mckinney/Plano/Frisco area they would make all the monies

The items my girlfriend and I ordered here were somewhat hit-and-miss. Chocolate chip pancakes - Meh. They weren't bad, but I wasn't crazy about them and I've definitely had better elsewhere. They were too thin and didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't order these again. Tofu scramble with home fries and bell peppers - They gave me way too many potatoes and not enough tofu scramble. It was honestly hard to taste the tofu scramble with how small they crushed the tofu, and the potatoes were just okay. I liked the way the cooked the bell peppers, though. I don't think I would order this again. Nacho Jr. - Wonderful! Loved the cheese and sour cream they used. Portion was very generous, even for being a 'Jr' size. Would definitely order this again. Peanut butter milkshake with vanilla ice cream - Also wonderful! Perfect texture and flavor. Would definitely order this again. Overall, it seems like this place is better at making lunch and dinner items than they are breakfast items. Their pricing also seems to be hit-and-miss as well. For example, just two chocolate chip pancakes were over ten dollars, which wasn't the best value, but the Nacho Jr. was a great portion size for the price. Also, I would have loved to have ordered a mocha, but $8 is a pretty insane ask. They're literally trying to charge twice as much as Starbucks for coffee! No thanks! Overall, I'd say pass on the breakfast, but give their lunch/dessert items a try. Also, be sure to check the price of what you order since some of their prices are a little unreasonable.

I honestly thought my review went MIA because Spiral Diner is the first and still probably my favorite vegan restaurant in Dallas. They have a very varied menu, so everyone can find something they like, and even self-declared carnivores usually will leave full and happy. It does get busy on weekends. Plan accordingly. Service may suffer as a result and it can take awhile for your food to be ready if they're especially busy, but it's worth it. I love that they have made online to-go orders so easy, but it can still take awhile to pick up the order because it all happens at the registers. But I have had nothing bad from Spiral Diner. The nachos are notorious and can be a meal on their own. The BBQ is great and so are the sandwiches. Can't go wrong with dessert either, try a shake. Please never go away, Spiral! You're a Dallas (and Oak Cliff) icon!

Everything is vegan and everything is AMAZING. I'm lactose intolerant so I haven't had a good milkshake, queso dip, grilled cheese .. in years !! The milkshakes here are delicious!! You cannot tell it's vegan/Non-dairy! (I have tested this on my diary eating friends!). The different types of grilled cheeses are comparable to the ones from Dallas grilled cheese (which unfortunately doesn't have a vegan option). Highly recommend the nachos, pancakes, burgers.. everything is great! Also it's dog friendly !

Tried one of the Blue Plate Specials today - Big Easy Zucchini Po Boy. It. Was. Amazing!!! The zucchini breading wasn't too heavy, the other vegetables were seasoned just right, the bread had the perfect toast level, and that tartar sauce I am definitely excited to come back and try something else
