It felt like a very authentic Japanese experience. I found the Sushi and Sashimi to be top notch. The lamb chops were quite juicy. Service was attentive and the ambience was, as expected, minimalist. It could be made better if the menus were easier to read. I found the font size for the descriptions to be too small. Also, the acoustics in the restaurant made for a loud experience. It can get very loud with just a few tables being served. I would definitely go there again.

Went here this past weekend for my me and my husband’s anniversary, and everything was absolutely amazing! Only been here a couple of times prior due to the fact we hardly ever go out anymore, but everything was top notch. Our server was prompt and always made sure our drinks were refilled, and the food was delicious! I just hope we can come back again sooner until next year! ??

Tei Tei is definitely not the type of Japanese restaurant where you pay a lot just ends up with some disappointing food. They gave you real stuff. I loved the sashimi and the Wagyu on Rock. The bartender also recommended me some wonderful Japanese whiskey.

Tei Tei Robata Bar, you've woven your magic over my taste buds for ten years now! Their service is truly unmatched. Forget ever having a dry throat - your drinkware becomes an ever-flowing fountain! Between courses, the tables experience a silent metamorphosis, emerging sparkling clean for the next culinary adventure. Anticipation is their middle name - a dropped chopstick disappears and a fresh set materializes before you can even think "new chopsticks please!"The food? Divine. Their legendary Cornflake Shrimp is a symphony of textures and flavors - crispy, golden flakes cradling juicy shrimp. The sea bass, grilled to perfection, is another masterpiece. Every bite at Tei Tei is a testament to their culinary artistry.Tei Tei Robata Bar isn't just a restaurant, it's a DFW gem. Their unwavering commitment to service and mouthwatering cuisine make it a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Thanks for ten years of magic, Tei Tei!Parking: Complimentary Valet directly behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Great experience! My lil foodies are also well-behaved.

Just a wozah place. Perfectly decorated and cute restaurant. Really good for dates they provide lots of small places. The food here is so so good but will say a bit on the expensive side of things. The service is a hit or miss sometimes. The staff are truly friendly at times but we busy it's hard to get a refill on water. Not bad but can be at times. All in all great date night joint high end restaurant with great food that provides a beautiful atmosphere.

Came here on recommendation of a friend who is from the Dallas area. Cannot recommend this place enough myself. Everything was absolutely delicious and I honestly spent way too much. Highlights were the eel (unagi) that they grilled in front of you, the super negitoro roll, and the impressively cheap spider roll. I thought the beef was pretty good but it's not Waygu level. Highly recommend coming here for the amazing food.

For over a decade, Tei Tei Robata Bar has held a special place in my heart (and stomach!). It's not just the consistently spectacular food that keeps me coming back, but the unparalleled level of service. The staff here truly embodies hospitality excellence. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. Your drinkware is like an ever-flowing fountain, ensuring you're never left parched. Your table undergoes a discreet metamorphosis between courses, sparkling clean for the next culinary adventure. They even anticipate your needs – a dropped chopstick is whisked away and replaced with a fresh set before you can blink. This level of thoughtfulness and attentiveness is truly remarkable. Now, let's talk about the food! Tei Tei Robata Bar offers a delightful menu that won't break the bank. One of our all-time favorites is the legendary Cornflake Shrimp. The crispy, golden flakes perfectly encase succulent shrimp, creating a textural and taste explosion. Equally impressive is the sea bass, grilled to perfection and bursting with fresh flavor. Every bite at Tei Tei Robata Bar is a testament to their culinary expertise. In a nutshell, Tei Tei Robata Bar is a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience in DFW. The unwavering commitment to service and the mouthwatering cuisine make it a true gem.

First timers, the rave reviews had me excited but was disappointed in the long wait time and quality for some items... We ordered uni, chutoro, salmon belly nigiris, and 2 soft shell crab handrolls. Also the seared Hokkaido scallops with uni sauce and the house made shu mai dumplings. From the robata selection we did the miso marinated sea bass and whole squid. Felt like we got a good variety of items to really tell how the place was. Sadly it took OVER 30 minutes for us to even get anything to eat. This is pretty long considering we ordered a lot of raw foods. I understand the robata would take some time but that was the first thing that came?? We were sitting at the bar just waiting for what seemed like forever. We flagged down the waiter and asked if we could have something to snack on since we were starving. He gave us some free edamame but that came at the same time as the food.... The house made shumai dumplings were SO disappointing. It was super overcooked in the steamer. The dumpling wrap was falling apart and the filling was really dense. The scallops with uni sauce were too sweet, like they had added sugar or something to the sauce. Not a natural uni sweetness, it was OK. The sweetness of the scallops + overly sweet sauce. Scallops were cooked well. The soft shell crab rolls were tasty! The nigiri was fine, nothing extraordinary. The amount of rice was pretty heavy for the chutoro and salmon belly nigiris. The highlights were the robata dishes. The sea bass was tender and tasty, and the squid was perfect. Props to the chef!

Went here for the first time with a couple of friends. We had the dumplings, miso glazed ribs, a few cocktails, and a variety of sushi. Everything was amazing from the food, service, and ambiance. Will definitely dine here again!

Sushi is so fresh and delicious! Miso sea bass is a must!! Always has great specials too. Ambiance is nice; I prefer to sit in the bar area at the bar. I think the music is a little quiet, but you can hear each other talk so that's a pro.

Favorite Sushi spot in DFW. Small , sexy and warm. The food is amazing. Order the seabass ,you will not regret it.

I dont live in Dallas but was there on business and my colleagues took me here. YUM! I dont remember the exact name of what I ordered, but it was a very hot stone with pieces of extremely tender thin sliced beef that I could cook my self on the slab. I think it also came with a dipping sauce. This was possibly and appetizer because possibly ordered another one it was SO good! The atmosphere is also very cozy and modern with nice lighting. Just a heads up, its gets VERY crowded and dont know if they take reservations, so be prepared to wait at least a little while -- well worth it. Wish I had to go back to Dallas just for this awesome restaurant!!

I have been coming here on and off for years, ever since it opened some 20+ years ago. I don’t live in Dallas anymore but when I visit I make sure to come back because the food is out of this world. We dined in the restaurant last night and it did not disappoint. The service was on point. Every time we needed something or water was spilled or someone put their napkin down to go to the restroom, the staff was on top of it before we could even think about asking. It seems like the customer’s experience is their top priority. And the food!!! I love the crispy rice ball (order this early because it takes a long time) with the foil wrapped sea bass and enoki mushrooms. The okra salad was also an excellent treat. The beef curry was a surprise and very comforting. Really you can’t go wrong with the menu. I appreciate the seasoned chefs making the food in front of the restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and excellent. I love this place and hope to visit for another 20 years!
