Left wanting more, much more. I understand they need to increase food prices to help cover operations and pay for a portion of the band but....we struggled hard to find a positive comparison to food taste/quality. Some of the food descriptions we came up with (and these are being nice): hospital cafeteria, memory care facility, international business class meal (without the warm nuts), or double portion frozen dinner. It was without doubt, mediocre. But hey - average food, that's fine. You come here for the music. But when the music is also mediocre, it ends up being an extremely mediocre evening out. The staff were friendly, the service above average, and the interior had a really comfy vibe. So there's tons of potential if they could get the food quality better. We left with the same perception: you can have average food if the music is great OR you can have great food with average music. But you can't have very expensive average - that's just not a path to success. We ended up leaving early, headed to a more established jazz club, and had fantastic dessert delivered to the other club. Will absolutely try the Kitchen Cafe again if food quality improves. It's exactly the type of place that belongs in the neighborhood!

My first time here. Music was wonderful. Carpenters and Burt Baccarat covers. Musicians were great.Loved the atmosphere.I was disappointed in service. I sat at one of the only two barstools. They forgot about me. And didn’t know how to make a basic cocktail. For dessert they only had white cake and ice cream. This place screams for Tiramusu or a rich chocolate dessert. They had chocolate syrup. Seriously?Waiters wore worn out t-shirts. Need nicer shirts please. This could be a nice, classy jazz supper club. But they’ve forgotten to take care of first impressions. And basic classiness.Clean it up and it’s a gem. .

Well I'm shocked and disappointed. Made a reservation for my moms birthday two days before and confirmed. Reservation for three. Got there 1/27 and sat down and was waited on by Carlos. The table itself was not cleaned properly either… that comes from a person who’s been a bus girl before. He got us our drinks which was just sprite for me as the water was already on the table. My mom and sister initially said they were okay with just water. We were not given a menu at all (this was the first 10/15 minutes of sitting down). More time went by maybe 25 more minutes and another lady came to ask about our drinks then my sister asked for a moscato, she got her drink and still no menu. People kept bumping into my moms chair and she was scooted all the way into the table, the server saw and didn’t do anything to help. We moved the table a little so she could stop getting bumped into. We continued to see groups and other couples getting sat down after us having menus brought to them immediately by the same server Carlos. I kept giving them a benefit of the doubt thinking of they must’ve forgot maybe? So I talked it over with my sister and then we saw everyone else getting food already the same people that were sat down AFTER us and we still didn’t have a menu? The waiter did not come back to check on us so my sister had to try to get his attention so we could ask for a menu. No we were not rude just asked “hey shouldn’t we have menus?” My sister is the kindest person you’ll meet, seriously. Carlos then says something along the lines of “oh yeah here you go” grabs menus off the table behind us and gives it to us. He does not even give us 2 minutes and I’m not even exaggerating… he turns around for less than 1 minute before we can properly look over the menu and asks if “are you ready to order?”. Are you kidding me? We had JUST gotten the menu YOU all forgot to give us and won’t even give us 5 minutes to look it over? Now I knew that the way we were being treated was not just in my head but was on purpose. I can’t imagine why were were treated so poorly but we were the only Hispanics in the building. So my mom understandably wanted to leave, it was her birthday and was getting treated like this? My sister asked for the check and they took ANOTHER 10 minutes to bring it to her, she put her card in the slot and Carlos took it. When I say they took another 15 minutes to charge her card.. why? She had to get up and ask where her card was. I’ve been a server before as well it does not take that long to run a card?? There was three people at the computer to charge cards at, why does it take 3 people to charge a card? Anyways we just wanted to leave and get some food, we were hungry. So no DO NOT COME HERE. Servers will discriminate and treat you poorly. THIS PLACE IS TRASH.

At first we thought we found a local to go place for good live music. The owner is awesome, music is always good. If that’s what you are going for then this is the place. We stopped going there because it’s like going to a music hall, hush hush don’t make any noises. No chatting or people will give you looks. Food were not so good. Over all, good music & that’s all.

Very small dining area, food was OK not worth the price paid. Two adults celebrating a birthday with no alcohol only ice tea to drink and the tab was $180!! Only 3 choices of entrées, gratuity is automatic, and you pay for the music with dinner, $20/person. Music was not what we expected, more lounge vibe than anything jazz plus had technical issues with screaming wailing microphone screeches.

My hubby has been here a few times at lunch, but our recent dinner visit for Kitchen Cafe at Night was my first time -- and I sure don't want it to be my last. I had salmon with a maple ginger glaze that was one of the best things I've ever tasted. Owner Tony performed with a group of wonderful musicians. Between the wonderful dinner, the great music and the beautiful decor, it was a night to remember.
