Honestly these are the weakest drinking I’ve ever had in Dallas. Normally when I go to bars and order a vodka soda I wince at every sip. But I cannot taste a drop of vodka in either of my drinks. The service is extremely slow and it’s only Thursday night. My friends waited 30 plus minutes for one beer. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed! We had to ask for a waitress after sitting unnoticed almost 20 mins. The food came out before our drinks. And the wings were awful.... did not even taste like food.

Nodding Donkey has it all -- elevated pub food, great happy hour, amazing neighborhood location and friendly service! I love the sliced BBQ sandwich and Donkey Balls. During good weather, the bar completely opens up and flows into the historic State Thomas neighborhood. Bar seating is my favorite with servers that quickly become your friend -- especially Ronda, Marina, Aaron and Gabe! And nobody beats the Donkey for watching sports - go Cubs!
The staff are great, from Ronda to Aaron to Gabe! We've been coming since opening week, usually sitting at the bar.Maybe consider new menu items once in a while.

Don’t bother coming here on trivia night unless you want to run the risk of getting told off by your waitress (twice in a night) for no reason. ?♂️She scolded us for not ordering enough after we ordered 2 appetizers, 1–2 drinks, 4 tacos, fries, and a quesadilla that she never got to us — she had nothing to say to the tables around us that had ordered less per person.She complained about us using gift cards to pay (the gift cards we won at The Nodding Donkey’s trivia night).She told us it wasn’t her job to give us water when we kindly asked for water refills.We were sitting at the circular table in the corner to the right after entering.This is coming from someone who has come here for trivia for over a year and had previously recommended the place to others.
Fun place! Music was good and they put on the individual game we asked for. Our server Liz was very attentive and nice. Definitely will return!

My friends and I have come to The Nodding Donkey almost every Tuesday night for an entire year to enjoy the trivia. We've had a great time, and usually order between $50-$70 worth of food/drinks between us. At our most recent visit, a waitress yelled at our group, claiming we were taking up her biggest table and "not spending enough." It was a terrible experience, and we will not be returning following her outburst. We were seated at a circular table in one of the corners of the restaurant on a Tuesday night

The Happy Hour is cool. They need more staff bc our waitress was irritated and it showed. The food runner literally told a customer he was busy as we were leaving. The change of shift the servers were fresh and more attentive for the evening shift. The loaded fries and wings are fire.
