Wow! The service here is fast and the food is fantastic. We tried the Tacos Tuxpon Al Carbon and the Enchiladas Suizas. Very generous portions and extremely flavorful. There are nice seating options both inside and outside.

Sat on the patio for margs and appetizers! Margs are strong, and the Jarochitas (Mexican egg rolls) appetizer were AMAZING!!! Will definitely be coming back.

Just WOW! Pedro the owner has to be the nicest person EVER! We went down to bishop arts to “restaurant hop”, which means pick 3 or 4 restaurants, ask what their signature dish is, share one of those dishes and move on to the next place. Veracruz wasn’t on our list but we decided to try it. The owner, Pedro, came out and spoke to us telling us about his best dishes. The mole is what he recommended because it’s made fresh everyday. After ordering, some of us said “we don’t like mole”. Haha. Joke was on us. This was absolutely delicious. Mild but so flavorful. We had it served over chicken with rice, black beans and veggies! Don’t overlook their black beans. So good we were using it as a dip for our chips. They also have a fantastic lime flavored lemonade that probably makes some killer margaritas. Also homemade daily. They also have a spicy chipotle cheese dip with pepper oil. I could have drank the whole bowl. It is pretty spicy!

The patio is a nice place to have dinner. It's great to people watch on a Friday night. The mole is pretty good, it's more of a legit veracruz mole and not as sweet as mole poblano. The salsa picosa is pretty good, not super spicy but flavorful. I love blue corn tortillas and they have them here! The waiters very very friendly and took good care of us!The micheladas are ok, I like mine spicier.

My husband and I went to this place in January 2020 in Bishop Arts. Yes, the food is good! The reason I’m giving it 1 star is, while we were almost done eating, my husband saw the server poured half eaten chips back with the rest of the chips! ? I felt sick to my stomach, I thought What else are these ppl recycling?!! Salsa??? Anyway, this was During Flu season, but doing this is wrong anytime! Eat at your own risk! ?

Food was mediocre at best on Sunday evening with family. Mole enchiladas were dry and lacking sauce. When one of our Orders was input to the kitchen wrong and server was not happy when it was returned. Chile relleno was poor at best. Server came after we were finished to ask if everything was okay. We won’t be back. We’re sat in the back room where the kitchen doors opened into the room, supplies were kept; and silver was being wrapped in napkins on the table by one of the employees. Bad experience overall.

Lunch time!I was craving to try food from my Veracruz, and I went to this restaurant that many people had recommended to me, obviously none of Veracruz, telling me that it was very delicious and with typical Veracruz food. The first is very true, the food is delicious but the second is totally false, it has nothing from Veracruz, the suppose picada that not named picada seem between sope and gordita queretana, the enchiladas stuffed with cheese I didn't know if it was manchego but it wasn't ranchero cheese or Panela, the stuffed chili Yes it was jalapeño but with so much stuff they put on it you can't even find the chili. I saw on their menu that they put epazote in the soups, using epazote does not mean that it is Veracruz food. Anyway, I understand that you are not going to find the taste of home away from home but if your name is Veracruz obviously your menu should have the words and food panuchos, picadas, empanadas, gordas, bomba, champola, pambazo for example, since you are representing gastronomy from a state, unlike if you use a different name for your restaurant and thus make interesting mixes of Mexican gastronomy to which the menu does make match, and I know many places that recreate the typical food of Mexico, with out select one state, at now many people in this area think that is typical food of Veracruz state when it is not like that. It’s difficult to find parking, the service is not good but it’s not bad.

We went here on a recommendation from a friend, who also gave us money to spend there. The food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere was great. And this was all right in the heart of the Bishop Arts District! Highly recommend!

If I could give 0 for service I would. Imagine you are there for dinner. Basically had to call/ask and wait long for everything - water, menu, utensils, take order, bring desserts, bring cheque, take cheque. It took 1hr 45 minutes for a simple dinner.Food was okay. Fajitas were okay. The Jalapeño appetizer was good. Tree leches was decent.

Companion and I seated immediately, surely because we were there on Sunday rather than stupidly busy periods of Friday and Saturday, like at all the Bishop Arts restaurants. Server had a language challenge, but he was attentive. I think he understood almost everything we asked about menu, but he seemed like he couldn't find about 80% of the words he wanted to express himself. Food was excellent, including sea bass for companion, and I had "meat salad", greens topped with grilled shrimp (tender) and chicken (not as tender). We would definitely return ASAP and try more menu options.
