The exterior of the restaurant gave me pause, but it's clean and attractive inside. This wasn't the full Ethiopian restaurant I've experienced previously. Food was served on plates, and we were given flatware in addition to the injera. We weren't given warm, wet cloths to wash our hands before the meal. I was surprised they didn't have a combination platter with both vegetables and meat, so we ordered the vegetable combo and a couple of meat dishes. The vegetables were not as good as I've experienced elsewhere, and the yebeg tibs was tough. The zil zil tibs was AMAZING and made the visit worthwhile. When the food was brought to our table, I asked for an explanation of each vegetable, and the lady could only identify the cabbage.

This was our first visit and first experience with Ethiopian food. We were seated right away, and our server made great recommendations. We enjoyed everything! I read the reviews on the ginger tea and was not disappointed. The tea was a favorite. The portion sizes of the entrées were large enough to serve family style. This was definitely worth the 30-minute drive.

Exceptional food and service, quiet and comfortable location. We had the veggie platter for 2 and added lamb, and enjoyed everything. Good wines as well.

We loved everything about this place. We want to come again and it’s super super close to home. The Kitfo app is injara wrapped spicy tartar+ in house ribs presented blooming on a hot iron, was least spicy, but still pretty spicy with the red sauce and the fish dulet ,a very spicy tuna dish with dressed salad both generous portions, and perfect for sharing with hands. The honey wine we sampled very nice for follow up and would order next time only 12% AVB but more than allowed for dQ. For my pallet, Ethiopian food seem to be spicier than Indian or Thai. Love the dining room, and would come on Saturday for live jazz music. Full bar Big round bar feels vacationy.

The food was amazing! The ginger tea and cinnamon tea was outstanding! The host was the best! She was very friendly and gave me extra angera bread! She also sold me some amazing Ethiopian pepper that makes food very flavorful! I found one of my favorite spots ?

Came here for the first time today and couldn’t have been happier. Every single thing here was great, and our waitress had terrific suggestions for us that we’ll be ordering again the next time we come back. The veggie combo platter was exactly what we wanted, and something we’ll likely get again as well!

This restaurant was incredible, you have to try the vegetable platter - the cabbage and greens were life changing good. Also try the Ethiopian coffee, it was incredible! Will definitely be coming back.

Everything about this restaurant was the bomb!!! I really like the way the restaurant is below ground level and then when you walk in the ambience is nice and chill, the entire restaurant is clean including the restrooms.lt smells like food, and the food is good. The people are friendly, smiling and the Ethiopian coffee is so delicious.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and Alkaline options with the Injera made from teff.

Absolutely love this place! It does not look like much from outside - especially having to go down the stairs to basement. But the ambience and the food were both amazing! Love their spiced up, lightly toasted injera (katagna). All the items in veggie sampler were delicious. So was the herbal tea! Good portion size. Good service.Fulfilling experience every time!

The only thing better than the food was the service. We were very pleased with both!
