this was my stepdad's favorite place and today would have been his 69th birthday. when I was a young adult my friends and I would drive 30 minutes out of our way because it was always a spectacular experience (and gas was MUCH cheeper). it was always a delight to bring new people because the exterior doesn't give away what a magical interior they've created. the food was always delicious, too. I've moved away so I can't order a plate for Barry, but if you read this and decide to go, consider ordering a couple of carne asada tacos for me, will you?

I like the atmosphere. It's interesting but damn that food was.....something else. No seasonings, the chips were very greasy and stale. My enchilada tasted so bland. I asked for another but that didn't help either. It's just plain ground beef inside a flour tortilla topped with sour cream sauce? Such a weird dish. Even my kids hamburger was tasteless and oily. I'm sorry but never again although I love the lights everywhere.

Oh my I did not expect everything to be as sub par as it was. Have not been here in years and will probably not try again. Specifically the stale chips that were served with chips and salsa.

I don’t know what happened here but it’s definitely not what it used to be. Service was good. New owners maybe? This was the third time this year and it’s gotten progressively worse every trip. This place had consistently over the years until recently! Sad to see this happening to what used to be one of my favorites.

I was excited to come and show my kids the lights after seeing a post about this place during Christmas. We came and they were no busy at all, but service was slow. It took a while for our waitress to come take our drink order and bring it out. However, that is not what made us want to leave. It was the cigarette smoke that really turned us away. My son and I are very allergic so we had to leave before ordering. Very disappointed.

This place is under new management as many may know. Their food has changed alot its still good but very different than it was before. I have 2 small children that always get super excited (and over stimulated) when we come. I always tell them after they eat their food we can look at each room which they have added a theme to, which my kids love. Unfortunately the 2 times we have been since these changes have happened there has been a man working there both times (not sure if he just works there or is the new owner) that gives off the vibes that he doesn't like children much at all. Both times he has given us side eye looks and angry huffing under his breath, ect, as my kids excitedly looked at the rooms. The first time I kind of dismissed it but the second time it happened it was pretty undeniable in mind mind he was frustrated with my child literally just being excited by the rooms, they werent doing anything wrong besides being 4 and 5 years old. He refused to make eye contact with me as he was acting this way and just stared at my children. For that reason I don't think we will be returning, it was extremely rude and made me uncomfortable. Also I haven't seen the train ? this is all so sad to me as it used to be such a cool family friendly place.

Probably visited Campo Verde for the last time. Stopped in after visiting Greens Produce around 430 pm. Wasn’t busy at all and took several minutes for someone to come and seat us. I asked for limes with my water. I couldn’t get ANY juice out of the lime slices brought to the table - they were SO dried up. I ordered beef enchiladas and my son ordered chicken enchiladas. The beef in the enchiladas was burnt. Our beans and rice were blah- almost tasted like they tried to spice up the beans to make them not seem like canned beans. Sone said his chicken enchiladas weren’t that great either. This place has definitely gone down in taste.
