I'll choose to return just for the warm feeling and smile they give me.At lunch today Christofer was also so friendly and helpful. I had refused a drink originally, because I'm diabetic and I don't care for soft drinks. I asked Christofer if the flavoured teas came sugar free. There was some confusion but finally he told me they did come sugar free. He went out of his way to answer my questions and give me the flavored tea I requested, where a lot of employees would have brushed me off with a quick no. And it was delicious! It's difficult for me to find a place that offers sugar free drinks I like. I'll definitely make a special stop regularly just for the tea. They need to go up on their prices as I know they have bills to pay. “El Trompo Loco is pretty much a staple of the Northeast/Eastside at this point with multiple locations in the area and for good reason: they almost never disappoint. Here you'll find a little bit of everything: tacos, burgers, quesadillas, tostadas, papas asadas(baked potatoes), tortas, burritos, etc and it all tastes very good. I'm not sure I'd come into a Trompo Loco expecting the most genuinely authentic Mexican food but they know what their Houston area patrons want and that's something that reminds them of home... or Northern Mexico street food, at least. The use of flour tortillas is plentiful but you won't get any complaints from me, they always deliver and their small tweaks to traditional dishes like the always-popular-at-big-parties favorite, frijoles charros. Always ask for the special version, they add cheese and diced meat to their already delicious beans and it just takes it up to another level. Pro tip: add some of their green salsa to the beans if you're in need for a spicy fix. Two other items off the menu I'd like to highlight: their tripas and their dori-queso tacos. They might serve the best tripas in the city if you know how to order them: Extra crispy, every time. And one of their newest additions are the dori-queso tacos, pretty much just a crispy tortilla filled with asadero cheese (the best for melting) and your choice of filling. I always go 2 bistec and 2 tripa for the best of both worlds. Lastly, they offer some of the best aguas frescas in town. Their horchata is sweet but not overly sweet and very refreshing and their pineapple agua fresca is to die for, especially when pairing with some crispy dori-queso tacos doused in their green salsa.. May have just given you my order. Use it wisely ;)“

“Now this is a thrift store ! I can't wait to come back when I have more time ! They have *everything* ! Tons of furniture, clothing, toys, books - I mean everything ! I honestly didn't anticipate the store being so large or well organized. I love all their racks/organization systems. They have higher priced items at the front of the store so I missed them until I was leaving. Definitely will check out next time. There's a whole room for as-is furniture plus another room for select nicer furniture as well. Everything is organized with signs too. Make sure to look on top of the racks for larger/unique items. All their kids toys are sorted into plastic bags which is nice for keeping the place clean. Actually they do the bag system for all kinds of smaller items The prices are very thrifty which is nice - I didn't look at the clothes to be fair but the home goods were very well priced. More things to note: - in the as-is room they have some vending machines - there's a reward program and if you sign up for the first time with your phone number you get a discount on your purchase (if it's over $10) - they have the biggest shopping carts I've ever seen in my life - the parking lot is quite large so there's plenty of parking“

The atmosphere is calm but, it is loud because of the exhaust fans which is understandable . The place was nice and fresh though. That's a plus with this Texas humidity outside.
