I had not been to Huck's in over 5 years and the food and atmosphere was better than I remembered. I rate coleslaw and catfish against Huck's and so far no other restaurant compares. Huck's Catfish is the benchmark. Thank you for years of consistency.
The best catfish in Grayson County. Very friendly service. Note this is a very popular place especially on peak nights. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it will be well worth it. Catfish is served southern fried style with a cornmeal breading. This is the closest thing I've found to the fish frys we used to have at my grandmother's growing up. There are rotating sides that are specials on certain days. On the day we went they had fried Squash, and it was perfectly cooked....read full review

This was the exact catfish that I grew up eating. Everywhere else seems to go so heavy with their cornmeal batter, that it makes it a grainy consistency.Not Hucks, this place had got it down. Nice big filets that meets in that sweet sweet middle of a great lightly cornmealed batter.Love this place and will make it a mandatory stop next time we are in Denison or even driving through.
