We hadn’t been to this location in about a year and we probably should have left it at that. When we walked in we noticed the establishment was pretty dirty with several tables left uncleaned and the floors were littered with debris. This was a little off putting and on reflection, there may have had a huge dinner rush and no one had time to clean yet. Our server was less than friendly and seemed annoyed that we were there and that we weren’t ready to order. The food has gone down in quality and the best thing we had out of our entire meal were the pretzels and beer cheese. The rest of it was pretty lack luster, the pasta was half cooked and was not what was described on the menu. The bar prices weren’t terrible, but the drinks we had were very watered down and tasted of nothing except for one, it didn’t save the entire experience. As we were walking to the door, I noticed the same tables were still dirty and no one else had come in and sat at them. We were one of maybe 10 tables on the entire restaurant, so maybe there wasn’t a dinner rush as I had suspected. There was just no one cleaning the dirty tables. Second chances are sometimes worth the try, this was not one of those times. Thanks for the previous good food and service, best of luck, you’re just not for us.

When we arrived, no names were written down so we were passed by for those who arrived after us. A written list should be used unless guests are seated immediately.It took a while to get our order taken after being seated. I realize the server was running around but why was this location short-staffed?Both burgers were rather greasy. I had the Quesadilla Burger considering less bread as well as no grease. I was quite wrong. Her bun appeared as if it had been painted with grease. It seemed considerably spicy than prior times she had the Whiskey Burger.Both orders had fries that appeared to have been reheated. They were stiff and lukewarm.The cheese sticks in the variety appetizer had a bad aftertaste. The chips seemed stale and the salsa was quite watery and had an odd flavor.We noticed the guy who forgot about us at seating was probably seen doing the most work of everyone. He was bussing tables and otherwise hustling. I understand why he lost track of us for seating.When a store is running badly and the food quality is poor, every single time that's on the general manager. So, that GM should have been there if it wasn't the lady we assumed was the manager on duty.I've been going to Applebee's around Texas since 2008. Since about 2017, it has been in a continual decline. What's changed? Ownership? Upper management? Poor training? The buck stops with someone.By the way, the difference between this store and the store in Taylor are lightyears apart. There were issues during the phony pandemic with the moronic mask mandate. But, it's running fairly well as of our last few visits with the most recent just a month ago.
