Joe is always so nice. Breakfast tacos are always amazing. One of those cozy hole in the wall type establishments.

I tried the beef and potatoes taco and it was bland as could be. I won't be returning. Food is made for a tasteless pallet.

If you are wanting the typical, homogenized "Mexican Food" experience, please don't waste your time and please get out of the way for the rest of us. This ain't Taco Bell or even Torchy's. This is an authentic and small family restaurant with homemade food made by the owner and their family members. The food is real and just like when you cook at home, sometimes the meat has fat and sometimes the consistency is different from day to day. Shocking I know! The barbacoa is the real deal with the correct seasoning and homestyle like it's made in hispanic homes all over Texas. I know because my 70 yr old father-in-law makes it just like this, but really Joe's might be better. Don't tell my family. The tortillas are hand made and some of the best around. The other items are usually authentic and flavorful. Prices seem fair... but sometimes cost go up... They aren't buying in bulk here. The food is traditional and basic. No one goes here and is expecting fancy ingredients or combos. As far as service: Yes, sometimes the owner takes too long talking to the regulars. Please note... they have REGULARS! A lot of people go every day and/or every week to eat here and it is a community. That speaks volumes. This isn't the fake Starbucks experience where they ask your name for the cup... If you go enough the owner, Joe, might know your face... maybe if you are lucky he actually knows your name at some point. So if you are popping by because you read a review on Google you might not be the top of the list on service. Doesn't mean they do not like you... get over yourself... your one time visit isn't really the target market here. In all honesty, I have never been for anything other than breakfast/brunch... My understanding is if the doors are closed the food is done. You are getting homemade cooked food. Supply is limited. No one cries when the top barbecue joints close early because they run out... why cry on here if you show up and the owner is done for the day. Again, this is a real family that runs a small shop. So if you are looking for an authentic family style place where the owners actually cook the food themselves this is your place. If you want fast, cheap and boring... Go elsewhere.

Quite possibly the worst tacos we have ever eaten. Yeah we didn't pay much but the beans were cold the chicken tacos had no flavor the pork taco was made with some weird enchilada sauce. Save yourself your time and money.
