We love trying new foods from different countries and cultures, so when we came across Catrachos, we had to try it. It is a small 'dive' serving Honduran food in Denton. And I use 'dive' in every positive sense of the word. Nothing fancy, just good people serving up great food.If you are new to Honduran food, I suggest you study the menu before going in as they only have pictures of the items on the wall. We had Pollo con Tajadas, pupusas, and Pork Tamales. I can't tell you which was better of the three as they were all delicious. The chicken was fried and the skin crisp and tasty with plantains and a type of slaw, the pupusas are a thick griddle cake filled with your choice of filling (we had pork and bean / cheese), and the Pork Tamales were filled with chunks of meat and veggies. You order at the counter and select from a variety of canned and bottled drinks. The young lady behind the counter was extremely nice and was helpful in describing the menu; she also checked on us throughout our meal.Parking is very limited and there aren't many places to park nearby. As i dont know how busy it gets, you might want to go between lunch and dinner hours.Catrachos was such a treat for us. We had a great time and immensely enjoyed the food. We are already looking forward to our next visit.Parking: Only about 7-8 parking spots in front with no parking in the back.

I usually don't leave reviews but this place deserves it.I was served by an arrogant character with a lack of customer service. I arrive to order a pupusas to go. Due to my carelessness I ended up paying $3.94 for each pupusa, which were decent at best. What I didn't like was that I confronted the person who served me to tell him how come they charged me $3.94 for each pupusa when their menu says the price is $2.60. The only thing he could tell me is that they have changed the price on the in-person menu, but not online. I told the worker that this was not my problem, because I really went for the price I saw on the menu online and the customer does not have the problem that the prices are not corrected due to their error. The worker simply removed responsibility by telling me that that was not his problem either. From there, I took my things without saying anything else and left the place since what he told me was obvious that the worker was not going to correct the price based on what was on the internet.I also find it incredible that after paying $3.94, more than $40 in total, they only give you four one-ounce containers for the entire order. It is a regrettable place that is not worth it.

Does anyone know if this restaurant is still in service? Asia, I have ordered 120 on Saturdays but they no longer answer me.

The food is excellent, the chicken tamales and the beef soup are the best. The person who handles the cashier and takes the food orders should put a smile on his face and be more friendly.other than that a great place for a good lunch.

I asked for a seafood broth with coconut but the coconut was pure water, everything was cut. The person who prepares the coconut broth doesn't know how to prepare it because it's short, he doesn't have a good hand at roasting coconut food.

The food is DELICIOUS! Everything has a 100% catracho flavor. The baleadas are huge and super tasty, the pastries super tasty too, and the chicken with slices is from beyond, one of the richest dishes I've ever eaten and I felt like I was on the coast. The atmosphere and service is also excellent. Everyone is very friendly and provides excellent service. I recommend it ?

Catrachos has amazing Honduran food! Staff was very accommodating to an ignorant white boy trying to figure out what I wanted to eat.My *only* complaint is that there aren't any meal descriptions written down. There are pictures and they'll tell you what's in it, but it'd be nice to have a menu so I don't feel so bothersome asking the staff 20 questions lol.

Some of the worst customer service experiences and the worst Pupusas I've ever eaten. I ordered two Pupusas scrambled with pork rinds and cheese, when the owner's chubby cousin served them to me, I told him that it was too white to go with pork rinds, he told me to open it and realize with his disgust I showed it to him and asked him if he was looking at pork rinds because I He was only looking at the cheese, his response was try it if you taste it and he went to the kitchen and never came back, he didn't help me either, what a cutie I ordered the pork tamale, worse point, it was very unpleasant to say that I will never return or recommend this restaurant is not enough. Not the right place to order Pupusas from, or Salvadorean food for that matter. The service is not any better either.
