From the moment they sat us right next to the kitchen area, we knew there would be an issue. Mainly because there were three employees sitting at a table right across from us in the "bar area" eating cheese fries and working on something on a laptop. The restaurant was dead and there was no reason for us to sit that close to our waitress as she ate and did homework or whatever.The waitress also seemed rushed to get back to said table after every table check, drop off, and return check. No bread or rolls were served. Lettuce in the salad was brown and wilted. Staff stood around and joked which is fine but not when service is lacking so hard.My dinner came with broccoli which was not served with the meal. I finished my meal and got a Togo box and at that time they remembered my broccoli. The potato soup was thick and browned to the point it may as well had been considered mashed potatoes.To top it all off, my partner pointed out a cockroach scurrying beneath our feet.Check please.I haven't been to a cotton patch in over a decade and I doubt I'll ever return. $60 wasted.

Dine in and had a bad experience ordered the chicken fried chicken garlic loaded mash potatoes and broccoli cheese casserole waiter come back and says we are out of mash potatoes ok give us a baked sweet potato then she bring plays with a baked potato I’m like we ask for sweet potato she says oh we are out of those as well, the chicken fried chicken was to doughy to mush breading and the broccoli cheese casserole tasted old. Waiter brings check and charged extra for loaded mash potatoes I’m like you was out of mash potatoes she said I gave you a loaded baked potato food best thing was the rolls. Picture posted is how breads the chicken fried chicken was falling off didn’t eat the rice at all no manager ever came over after she told him the issue we won’t be back horrible experience.

The food quality has completely dropped.I ordered the Shiner Fish and chips for lunch, and while the outside is a golden brown the inside is mushy there is a small piece of fish with too many layers of batter.Fries and orkra was limp.

Update 4/21/24Though we'd try y'all out again. It's been a while since the last visit.Was greeted quickly and the staff was very friendly.The tables and the facility was in need of a great deep cleaning. Had the waitress wipe the table down hoping the grease or film would come off...no luck.The ribeye has been taken off the menu, sad. That was one of the best items on the menu. Ordered out food and it came out rather quickly. One of the chicken fried steaks were undercooked, but was fixed quickly. The portion sizes are considerably small than what I remember and prices a bit higher. The food was ok, but not as tasty as I remember either. Overall the experience wasn't bad. The place needs a better cleaning and I think the kitchen staff needs some food quality and cooking lessons.Maybe it's hard to find quality help in a college town.Update 5/10/22Walked in expecting a good dining experience and waited to be seated, as we waited, I noticed several dead cockroaches in the entrance....we just walked out....yuck!

We came here for a meal to try. We enjoyed the pork chops, mashed potatoes with cheese, and fried okra. Also the rolls were fresh and really good too! What made it all so wonderful was the beautiful young man, Aaron-he was so nice, and he had the most beautiful smile, and beautiful hair ever! It was a very wonderful experience!The only one thing was that the mashed potatoes were a little cold, and we asked Aaron kindly could he warm them up for us, and he kindly worked with us and did so. We were very grateful for this wonderful service!

After calling in my order then paying in store, I was told that they didn't have the sides I ordered. I selected another side and sit another 25 minutes after the initial pickup time. I made a comment about sitting so long and them not telling me until after I paid that they didn't have the food I ordered. The response " sorry our prep cook is in jail." Get back to work and no lie, the dumplings I ordered where almost all juice! I literally got 3 dumplings and some sides I didn't even want for $13.52. Terribly disappointed in the service, and quality of this food. I certainly won't go back!

Chicken alfredo pasta with broccoli did not have any broccoli. It also did not have any flavor. Reminds me of the bland butter noodles that I made for my child when he was a toddler.

Don't order delivery from here. Something will be missing or it will be substandard. When you call, you'll get a promise for a replacement or refund that never happens.I love their concept and food but for some reason they cannot make a good delivery order. I'll never order from here again.
