I only saw one review of Hootie's and it was "not recommended". I wonder why? Could it be that it told the dirty truth of this place which is actually HOOTER'S?? Like the other reviewer who had the courage to stand up for the truth, I got tricked into ordering some takeout from so called "Hootie's" because I was looking for a new burger place to try out. I thought to myself, "Should I get a Hooter's burger? Nah, they're not very good. Hm, what's this Hootie's place? I've never eaten there before!" When I got the delivery, I thought to myself, "I specifically did not order Hooter's". "But how", you may ask, "did you know it was actually Hooter's and not the gourmet burger kitchen called Hootie's?" Because everything was in Hooter's bags! They didn't even bother going all the way with the deception. Well, that was a dirty trick and called them to tell them so. The nineteen year old that answered the phone just asked if I wanted to talk to the manager but I did not bother because in our corporate, totalitarian state, the business is always right and the customer can pound sand. Anyway, this is Hooter's. It never in a million years occurred to me that a restaurant would pull a stunt like this. It has only reinforced my burgeoning paranoia that we do not live in a country so much as a continent wide flea market where it's scam or be scammed. In the words of our forty third or whatever the hell president he was, W, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, uh, uh won't get fooled again..." I would think that making your customers feel foolish would not be a great business strategy but Hootie's is still selling "gourmet" burgers so what do I know. In conclusion, If you want to skip the best part of eating at Hooter's, be my guest or just go to a strip club and drive through McDonald's on the way for a superior experience.
