This place is no longer Taco Lady, it's Cactus now. The trompo taco is fantastic! I'd never heard of it before I came here. Kinda like Mexican gyro I think. Carnitas were flavorful but had some chunks of inedible gristle. Asada gordita was tasty too but also had gristle.

I would like to say thank you to the Taco Lady next time you get something to give her a little bit extra in the tip jar because she does a great service for some of the homeless people around Denton when she gets off of work she would donate the rest of her food to Hungry people. she offers bottled waters and extra burritos and any leftover she has and it goes a long way in feeding the hungry and showing what a beautiful heart she has. thank you so much

Best authentic tacos I've ever had. They have a great variety of different types of tacos. You won't be disappointed with anything you choose.
We went here for the first time after hearing so much about it over the past 2 years. They are under new management and have changes the name to Las Lomas. I am not sure if it was just an off day for them, but I was not satisfied. I ordered the carne Guisada gordita and 2 Barbacoa tacos. The gordita was extremely dry and even with the salsa was hard to eat. I was disappointed because I Waited to long to try this place. The tacos had very little meat... However, my husband's burrito was good. Maybe I'll go earlier in the day on my next visit.

I discovered Taco Lady 7 years ago when I moved to Denton. We had just unpacked the moving van and we were starving! I noticed the signs for the restaurant earlier and decided I wanted to check it out. As far as I am concerned nobody comes close to Taco Lady's barbacoa! I find myself comparing other restaurant's barbacoa to Taco Lady. I am disappointed each and every time. I'm going to stop talking now because I can't get to this wonderful hidden gem...getting mad just thinking about it...
