We are out doing some craft brewery tastings and stopped in at Backyard Brewery, nice small place with a what looks like a good regular crowd. We had the West Coast IPA, one of the best I've had in a while! Rich in color and lots of flavor. Service was great, we got a chance to taste (sample) a few before selecting the West Coast. Love supporting small businesses and this is one worth a stop.

Nice little brewery hidden in an industrial park. Parking is a little bit of an issue, but doable. The brew master was away the day we tried but the guy working was quite knowledgeable about the beer. We tried a flight since it was our first time there. It seems most of their beer leans to the dark side, which made one of us happy. The atmosphere was cute and made to look like someone's backyard. While I didn't find a beer that did it for me that day, I would definitely give them another chance.

Mike is a great guy brewing great beer! We were in from out of town and randomly chose to stop by here one day. The Dark Lager, Japanese Rice Lager and IPAs rounded put a long day and put anything on Galveston Island to shame. Well worth the stop if you're in the area!
