My 4Y/O Grandbaby loves to go to Hartz in Texas City, so we decided to try the Dickinson location... BIG MISTAKE!The food on the buffet was old, dried out and just nasty, cost us $14 more for 2 seniors and a child at this location... with way less of a selection on food items, the employees were standing around talking LOUDLY in the kitchen area... just an overall bad experience. When a child that loves her Hartz chicken, and will eat every bite on her plate doesn't eat and tells you it is nasty.. that's when you know it was bad.

OK, not great. Inside gets worse the longer you stay. Serive is very hit or miss, but a new kid was super friendly and helpful... so I gave an extra star. Buffet food always looks old to me.

It was ok. The veggies didn't have any seasoning. The fresh fried fish was great.

These Truths

Only place around with chicken livers. Mistakenly given chicken gizzards instead. Had to drive back up and get livers. So speak clearly and confirm what you want. Also, we gave the nasty gizzards to our dogs and while cutting them up we found a 1/4 inch long sharp metallic piece of contamination in one of them! It looked like a broken heavy staple. So diners beware!

first greeting was just blah, food was cold, but the worst part was the lady that had on a dog sitter uniform shirt on was covered in dog hair, which ok, you work there great, but please change your clothes before going to a serve yourself location. My wife was standing behind her in line and showed me, as I turned I witnessed a glob of hair fall from her right sleeve of her shirt into the food, I told the lady behind the counter and it went to def ears, all she said was, "ok" and just stood there.Needless to say that ended our evening meal rather quickly.

Came to have dinner on this Saturday wasn’t busy or nothing but as I came in there was a rude Caucasian woman on the front register she kept staring at me and my mom as we walked in and order with a messed up facial expression. The lobby is dirty, they got workers who stand around keep staring just like the cashier lady like this place seems unwelcoming to African Americans.
