“I’ve been here a few times. The baked ziti and chicken alfredo are good. I ordered the Stromboli recently and in my opinion it was not good at all, it was delivery so I’m not sure if that played a part but it was soggy, too cheesy and too greasy.“
“Went here around 2pm on a Monday not busy and received very prompt /pleasant service. I ordered the 2 meat plate with pulled pork and sliced brisket , mac n cheese, greens &side of cobbler.Meats were tender , well seasoned overall delicious. No complaints there! Only thing is I recommend adding another slice of bread if you want to make a sandwich with your meat. It only comes with one and there’s an extra charge for more.Mac n cheese is different than previous photos, flavor was not there for me and was more like a casseroleGreens were delicious! Had a different taste than your normal thanksgiving plate, almost as iv there was some carribean influence .Cobbler was ok , a tad watery than would’ve liked and too heavy on the nutmegg, but decent and i ate it lol.Overall would 100% go back!“
“Mudhook is a great local spot in the heart of Duncanville, owned by a local, frequented by local residents, and serving a solid assortment of food and drinks. The wait staff is friendly, the location is convenient, the setting is solidly casual and comfortable, and features both indoor and outdoor seating when the weather allows. Whenever I come from out of state to visit friends here in town, this is one of my must-go spots.Parking: Some street parking and plenty of parking around the back.“
“Table reservations were free the night i went. I went to chill with friends, they never showed up so I was alone. I was having a great time by myself. Small cozy place I was really enjoying the peace of being alone. But when I went to order food they gave my table away. No waitress came to see if I wanted to order I was having such a great time 2hrs has went by so I went to the bar to order. When I got back they had seated a couple at my table, my name was still on the table. Anyway we got that resolved I didn't stop smiling, my night wasn't about to be ruined. If you're by yourself better run to order and run back cause they will give you're table away. This could have went left. I thank God it didn't.DJ was a 7 out of 10 for what I've seen here in dallas. I will return next time with my husband so he can stay at the table???“
“I brought a friend that lived in India for 5 years and he told me that he has never liked Indian food outside of India but he LOVED Shivas! He had the butter chicken and I had the malai kafta! Both were amazing! And Raj was very attentive! Oh and try the mango tamarind margarita! It was divine!!!Vegetarian options: Get the malai kafta!“
“Talk about welcoming?! Absolutely beautiful place, music fun to listen to, food by far sends my tastebuds out of this world!I had the Truffle Mac & Cheese Croquettes - packed with flavor, creamy! Slight kick from the Sriracha Aioli! And very thankful for the greens to balance it out!Variety of drinks to choose from but very thankful for the mocktails! I had the Hibiscus No-Jito! The zing from the ginger beer, with a sweet and sour after taste from the Hibiscus and the lingering mint to finish it off! Definitely trying the Texas Sunset next time!Flair was so helpful with the menu and Laura on top always running back and fourth attending all guests but keep a smile on her face! Can’t wait to bring my friends out here!“
“Right away when walking in you are met with the intriguing aroma of a multitude of spices. The food was very flavorful and aromatic with just the right amount of heat. The server Rajni was nice and but not super attentive. I received my only drink refill after I finished my food and my wife never got one. My biggest issue was every single price on the receipt was higher than what was shown on the menu. The other issue was the drinking water was warm and straight from the sink.“
“Atlas in Bishop Arts is a gem of a cocktail bar and neighborhood eatery for the best bar bites you can find. The ambiance invites you to savor expertly crafted cocktails, each a delightful journey of flavors from around the world, alongside a menu that celebrates local ingredients and global inspirations. With attentive service and a cozy atmosphere, Atlas promises an unforgettable experience for both cocktail enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Ask for “Gabe the Babe”.“
“Went to support my friend Mariah, shrimp Cocktail is usually my go to so ordered that, it was pretty good. Aside from it being a bit loud, didn't have much else to complain about, open space, and like always my Mariah was an excellent hostess!“
“My friends and I always have a ball here! The music is always really cute(oontz oontz), the expresso martinis are to die for, the door guy is sweet AND they have a pool table! <3 I promise this isn’t paid or fake review either, I just have to give DD’s their flowers.“
“The Parlor is absolutely one of the best cocktail bars in Dallas. My crew regularly hangs out here when we're attending a convention at the Sheraton Dallas. The two bartenders, Bryce and Adam are incredible. In addition to being able to craft most anything you call, if you give them a spirit type and a flavor profile, they can create a riff for you on the spot. I'm also a pretty big whiskey nerd, and this location has a pretty decent whiskey selection.Go here if you're staying at the Sheraton and it's open. You won't be disappointed.“
“The beer selection is terrific. It was great talking to the bartender/brewer. The patio was pleasant, though it's a shame they couldn't take advantage of the downtown view, but that's not their fault. The food was delicious, I just wish the portions were a little larger. Overall, this is a great spot to enjoy some delicious beers. I will definitely be back!“
“The couple who was working was so friendly and had great recommendations for things to do/see and other places to eat in the area. We ordered the wings, garlic buffalo & buffacue, which were some of the best we have ever had and the dill pickle fries, which sound odd, but were 10/10. We had some great local beers as well! A great hidden gem, don't sleep on them!“
“Nestled in an exquisite location, this steakhouse presents an elegant dining experience that began with a seamless valet service, ensuring parking was the least of our concerns. With a reservation in hand, we were promptly welcomed and seated, our anticipation met with an array of impeccably crafted drinks by our attentive server, whose service was near flawless, though a touch more warmth would have been the cherry on top. :)The culinary journey proceeded with remarkable speed, our second round of delectable drinks accompanying a swiftly served yet astoundingly delicious meal. I indulged in a perfectly cooked steak, while my wife savored a succulent lamb rack, each dish speaking volumes of the chef’s mastery. The evening reached its zenith with a complimentary chocolate cake and champagne, a gesture that transformed our anniversary dinner into a truly memorable celebration. For those in pursuit of culinary excellence,I wholeheartedly recommend this steakhouse.Parking: Finding the restaurant was a bit of a challenge at night, nestled as it is in the shopping center, but discovering it was absolutely worth the effort.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s wheelchair accessible, making it welcoming for everyone.“
“I flew into Dallas for a conference at the Adolphus Hotel on Easter Sunday. It felt a bit cliché sitting alone at a hotel bar on a holiday. I mentioned that in passing to the most amazing bartender Nate. We had a laugh and Nate made it his mission to make sure my evening was anything but! With amazing service, attention to detail and riveting conversation Nate made my night!!The food and drink were good but the experience was stellar. Thanks Nate!! I’ll see you again the next time I’m in Dallas!“
“I can’t really speak to the food, because I didn’t go there for that. BUT they do have some very unique drinks. Or to be technical “craft cocktails” they were pretty decent and service was smooth. Now for the atmosphere!!Let me tell you, I went on a Sunday after coming from brunch and was lowkey thinking the whole time “why tf are we going here?!” BUT when we got out to the back patio it was LIT and full of dope vibes. They had a Dj and a drummer that was just sending the vibes up!The service staff was still attentive given the massive crowd and even came to check in on us, which I appreciated. Idk if it’s always vibing like that, but I’m going to assume it’s for Sunday Funday.“
“I have heard great things about Wicked Butcher in Fort Worth, but the drive is not going to happen on a Saturday. So I was very excited about their opening in downtown! Starting off with the hostesses. Now, they really set the tone for a fantastic night. They were engaged, fun, welcoming, and definitely a highlight of starting the evening off well. We were greased with complimentary bubbles and led to the bar where we wanted to have a drink before dinner. The DJ was setting up, the energy was good, and the decor was beautiful. Just be warned- they don't mess with the drinks and they are strong (my compliments to the bartender!) Dinner, I got the beef Wellington and omg. It was so good. The pastry was light and flaky and I was so happy to see this dish on the menu. The whole dinner was fantastic, although not inexpensive. My grandmother always said you can rate a restaurant based on their bathrooms. And she was a smart lady so I willl continue to use her rules and give an enthusiastic recommendation for Wicked Butcher, with an extra star for their fabulous bathrooms.“
“Stumbled across this place and had such a great time the first time around. The second, lacked a little. Everything was great until we were told it was last call a little after 12 (they close at 2) because it wasn’t busy. But, the bar was full and all but 3 tables weren’t taken. But again their call no biggie. The problem for us was after we were told last call at least 3 different groups came in, seemed to be regulars the bartenders knew and were served after we were told no more. Another thing that threw us off was that we were told essentially to hurry up and drink our drinks because they were picking up glasses. yet, like I said, they were still making shots for people that had just walked in.. we brought it Up to our server and he said the manager said it was because they had just gotten shots? Ugh my drink that was left was less than a shot. We felt like we continued to be rushed. To top it off our server was drunk from the moment we walked in. They were all very nice but they need to work on equality in my opinion.“
“Amazing smoked brisket... The Armadillo Poppers and spicy Mac and Cheese are too due for! Be sure to try the spicy pickles on the condiment bar!Parking: Street parking... We ended up parking in residential area 3-4 blocks away and walking. This place is totally worth the walk!“
“BEST BRUNCH IN DALLAS The croissants are freshly made and perfectly buttery and flaky and layered! The pancakes are delicious, and the pork belly is spicy and savory. Service is great and ambiance is very industrial but very chic and modern at the same time. Make resys ahead of time because it gets packed.“
“We had a party of 35-40. We were served in record time. The food was hot and the orders were 99 percent correct. The food was delicious, the salad great, and the bread is legendary. Will visit again soon❣️Parking: Parking in front and on the side of restaurant.“
“This is a perfect spot to end a night out with friends or somewhere to just sit, sip, and chill. Their bartenders are top-notch and can school you on the different choices of alcohol they have to offer. They are a complete VIBE and get a 10/10 from me. But this is just my opinion. Go and find out for yourself.“
“Lunch here may not have the same cache of nighttime sushi dinner but get right in to gobble the soba noodles in various ways. Off menu picked vegetable cold soba salad is a champ. If your needing warmth, the duck broth dipping sauce is mighty. Fresh fish? Naturally. Ours arrived only hours before hand, direct from Nippon.Best salmon ever!Hankering for unagi? Yay Boy, also imported and you get the whole eel my people including the krispy krunchy fried spine. The desserts are also beautiful with stunning flavor. In general the decor is understated, clean and elegant. They take great care to match the food colors to the serving plates. And when nature calls you’re in for another treat, the heated seat and back side car wash known as the Toto Washlette is in service in the WC. Never had such a pleasent post meal pause ?“
“I have read all the positive reviews...so I decided to try their turkey burger with the sweet potato fries...I took that first bite and couldn't even open my mouth for the next bite it was so good...better than good...the entire meal was awesome...thank you so much Sankofa Kitchen and Bar...most definitely will be back “
“Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars for service was because I was told I couldn't eat my vegan food I brought with me (I was a part of a group of 5) because they don't like outside food. I understand that. They need to step up their game and add some more options for vegans. Side note, I was the one that recommended the group eat there. I ordered a beer and fries as well, so it was only the vegan burger I brought in that was the issue.Other than that, wonderful place and experience.“
“Midnight Rambller is a good place for a classic cocktail. I got an old fashioned which was pretty standard in price. There are some adventurous options on the menu as well. The lady who served us was nice. I don't hang out downtown often, but I will definitely need to revisit this place whenever I'm downtown again.“
“Thank you Theo's for allowing us to gather there for my son David's Celebration of Life memorial. Years ago that was musician haven on Sunday nights and it was a magical place with the cream of the crop musicians. It was my son's favorite place to be and those who knew him knows what a superstar he was. It was only fitting that we should honor him at Theo's. Your staff was great. Your bartender, I think her name was Charlie. She was fantastic. Thank you all for making a very hard day a little better.“
“I had a great time!!I booked a reservation for the day before my arrival unknowingly but they were able to accommodate me and didn’t turn me away!We then went on to have great drinks as we worked on our projects. The staff came by to assist us and give us guidance. They made sure we had a great time.10/10 I will be back!!!“
“This was a terrific treat for first time Dallas visitors. We had a cocktail and ordered the steak nachos. The Nachos were incredible, totally different than anything we've ever had before. Best described as a kind of beef stroganoff preparation. They should charge more for this. 80s music brought us back in time ... when probably no one would have thought of that nacho recipe. Go to this place.“
“Came here for a Dallas Tiki Week event and I enjoyed the venue. It's intimate, warm, and has welcoming historic vibes to it. The bartender was friendly, generous, and accommodated my drink request. Overall, I would visit again for another event. The actual event ("variety" show) was horrible and I would not recommend that but since Sons of Hermann Hall only rented the train wreck event space I hope to visit again for another event experience.“
“Came in town from Omaha wanted a decent place to have a birthday drink. The service was A1, the staff were fun and friendly, and the music was nice.Only reason I couldn't give a five is because of the music from next door at Dada drowned us out. I believe they were doing a sound check or something but nonetheless our vibe was killed. We ended having one and done. I'd go back only when there is a show going on next door.“
“Speakeasy inside a restaurant with an intimate atmosphere.Cool presentation of drinks. The cocktail menu is a bit limited because of the Branca focus. And unfortunately no bar seating - only tables. However, still a nice speakeasy worth checking out!“
“If you like a good “hole in the wall” feel where can smoke tobacco still and $4 drinks with “free” pool, this is your destination! Oh, and the Karaoke is the icing on the cake! Adult crowd 30+ most times but it’s 21 and up! It’s fun!!! Stop by tonight!!!“
“My friend and I wandered in for a late meal after a full day of exploring the city and enjoying the Deep Ellum art fair we were lucky enough to coincide with, completely unaware we were embarking upon an unforgettable evening of incredible food and impeccable service. My companion enjoyed various a la carte selections, whereas I decided to trust the menu and ordered the Hungry tier set menu. The first bite was insane - the king salmon hand roll changed my life forever. The spicy tuna was equally delightful. There wasn’t a bad bite. Everything on the menu is thoughtfully composed, and the chefs are artists. I loved watching them take their time to craft precise bites. Our host for the evening was Jonathan, who achieved immortality in our hearts with his easy grace and hospitality. We were treated with such kindness, interest, and care. This place is perfection for one or two people looking to have a delightful, easeful experience. The strawberry crepe cake was a lovely light sweet ending for a lovely light sweet experience. If I’m ever in Dallas again, I will make a point of stopping in for another joyous evening.“
“An authentic "dive bar" that has nothing to do with Oswald. The Grilled Cheese on jalapeno cheese bread w/added bacon was delicious, and I recommend the onion rings over the fries. The music was great, the outside ambiance wonderful, and you could carry on a conversation while folks danced and celebrated. The gal at the bar was super friendly, but tended to visit with patrons as much as serve drinks, so don't expect immediate service...just relax and soak up the vibe of the truly genuine cultural treasure.“
“The old battle axe and I popped in on a Friday afternoozles. Lemme axe you a question - do you even axe, bro? Because I did. While wearing axe body spray (unrelated, bought that at the Walmarts) second parentheses (unrelated, this Walmart was filthy) third parentheses (related - I got some nice axe throwing gloves). Anywhoozles, axe throwing & beer. 10 stars. Namaste.“
“Just happened to find this place as we got off the hop-on, hop-off bus a couple of blocks away. Without a doubt, the yellowfin tuna fish tacos were the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and a very large portion. My wife took her's back to the hotel for dinner. Great beer selection . Not crowded on at Saturday afternoon. Wish we had more to explore Deep Ellum as the mural art and eclectic businesses look like a lot of fun.“
“Came here for an event. Got to say this is a fantastic beer bar, with an amazing beer garden. One of the best I’ve been too! There were plenty of beers to choose from, also plenty of other choices if you weren’t a beer drinker. A great option they have is you can order from your table if the bar is busy. Or you’re feeling lazy.“
“We accidentally found this place due to another location not letting anybody else in but we’re not gonna get into that details, but man when I tell you, the food is so good and the customer service is immaculate. We will definitely be coming back here again.❤️❤️“
“Deep Ellum bar and music venue. Casual, with a laid back and old school vibe (think late 80's hole in the wall) music was hoppin and drinks were just fine, not overly crowded, with a great nix of people. Friendly staff and service. Come fir the live show, stay for the vibe, if u rock n “
“We used to go to this bar regularly. It's lively and the drinks are strong, which is good because the prices are higher than other bars. Unfortunately, they had some kind of glitch where we began getting charged twice, once for the amount and once for a random amount. Example: if our tab was $60 including tip, we would get charged that and then randomly $85. We would have to go back in person a few days later to show the charge didn't drop off and have them reverse it. Because of that glitch, we started going elsewhere and found a cheaper bar that doesn't double charge, but we still recommend this place. If you don't mind the price, try their speciality drinks, like the Yoo-hoo Yeeha. Very good and quite strong!“
“This is the kind of place you can TAKE a date; not the kind of place you can FIND a date. Reservation only? Every seat was filled. Super small/cozy. Sweat shirt & ball cap crowd. Hospitality/drinks were what you'd expect. Lively place.“
“Had the pleasure of visiting this place in Bishop Arts late night scene. We had a few things off the menu which was chicken pizza, cheese pizza and two different types of wings. All in all the food was good I would suggest they cook the wings a little more cause they was just too soft but not undercooked. Drinks were good it was cold so we started with an Irish coffee. I wouldn't definitely recommend and be back. The place is just the right size and they have outside tables. Service was decent it was super busy but they managed to get to us in a fashionable time.“
“I don't usually eat food here so I can't really comment on that but it's usually good. Mostly though it's a great patio for any time of year (they even keep it pretty warm in the winter) and they have excellent beer choices.“
“Wow. Wow. Wow. I’ve never given anything a solid 10/10 but it feels disrespectful to date this anything lower. The quality of every appetizer, entree and side. Nothing was subpar. Thank you. Our hostess was the most hospitable, down to earth soul as well. She was so kind and accommodating. I will definitely come back. I’m a new regular.“
“Location Government data strict-near downtown presbyterian church and hotels. Parking Be alert for local street spits. Garages offer e charging-free! Atmosphere Cool local bar-pool tables, to quote our server," I was a regular before I started working here" Seating Bar, high tops, tables, great for groups Service AWESOME!!!! Menu Wide variety of beverages, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers. We had the steak salad Caesar sandwich with sweet potato fries. The fries were sub par but the sandwich was fantastic-fresh, flavorful, and just as recommended-great. Summary Great service, terrific menu, great food! Our new fav downtown spot! Love it! Our new fav downtown eatery. Karaoke on Friday-starts late-@930. Love the food“
“We rented the bar for a private function. Raj and his team were amazing to working with! Everything ran smoothly from beginning to end! The food, service and karaoke were excellent. Great vibe. Our event was a huge success. Thanks to everyone at the Elm Street for their hard work and dedication.“
“It’s a great dive bar. Happy hour specials are very competitively priced.I enjoy coming in on a weekday when it’s less busy to get myself a hotdog (served till 1:45 am; they’ve got wagyu, jalapeño w/cheese, and brisket dogs). The espresso martinis are also delicious to sip on.Love the attention to detail with their napkins and branded matchbooks. There’s limited parking right in front of the bar entrance. This place is awesome for a night with the besties and there’s also a dancing platform if you’re into that!“
“I actually like this place and have been here before, the food is good. However, it feels like they *drastically* over pour. I had 2 margaritas and got ill (and that's with drinking water in between). Keep in mind that I'm used to drinking double neat whiskeys, so for me to get sick from 2 margaritas is insane. They really need to check the amount of booze they are dishing out to people for the customers (and their) safety.“
“Just moved to the area and saw this on my drive home the other day. Knew I needed to go immediately. We went today and I am so glad we did! The lady taking our order and who greeted us at the window was so nice. You really do get a lot for the money. Highly recommend and we will be back!!“
