I used to work here, whenever the staff got together and the chefs made everyone little soufflés I never got one because I was “jUst tHe flYeR guY” whatever. Their bathrooms are clean, and I’ve never had any food from here so uhh 4 stars I guess

My wife and I ordered the 14 oz. Prime Rib eye. I was surprised that the meat was not particularly tender...sort of chewy, although the taste was good. We had the mushrooms and they were excellent, My grandson had the same order with the mac and cheese and he said that was the best he had eaten. The service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive. I would give them high marks.

Recently moved to RGV and went to dinner at Bob's.y husband and I are definite foodies and this place is top notch, hands down. The steaks melt in your mouth. Highly recommend.

We have eaten all over the world with excellent chefs. We live near Chicago and enjoy fine dining. Bob's Steak and Chop House is excellent for quality of food, service, and fine wine.

Even though the service was excellent the food was not worth the price. My husband and I went to celebrate Valentine's Day a day early to avoid the crowd. I had selected the place because my husband and I are both steak lovers and wanted to try something different. There were mixed reviews regarding the quality but overall they had a good rating so we decided to give it a chance. My husband ordered the filet mignon with macaroni and cheese and I got the ribeye with smashed potatoes. We both ordered loaded potato soup as a starter. The soup was very bland and needed lots of salt. They served my husbands steak very rare when he had ordered it medium. My steak was burned to a crisp on the outside and the inside was a perfect medium but I could not get past the burnt taste. The steak was not of good quality and was fatter than any other steak I had ever had anywhere. I always prefer the ribeye due to its marbling of fat but this steak was nothing but burnt fat. I was very unhappy and will not be returning. The server was excellent about cooking my husbands steak further but i didn't even attempt to eat mine. She was so nice and polite. We paid 170 for two horrible steaks and bland potatoes. Will not be going back. Next year I'll just reserve at Santa Fe or Texas Roadhouse.

The filet mignon was unfortunately not a good cut, not prepared well. And unfortunately, the chef did not have hands of gold. There was no art to the cooking. It was a challenge to cut through it and took minutes to even get one slice off. The smell of the meat was off. I was obliged to order A1 steak sauce to prevent me from having a total fail of a dinner night. The server Jackie was great. She's a high performer. Management danced around taking care of business. When you are a good leader, you take care of the issue at hand immediately, address it and move on. The management and chef would not survive in the real world, not to discount the Valley. No wonder this place is 'hurting.'

Great restaurant with wonderful service. Tessa at the bar was nice, friendly and very helpful. Mr Callahan, in management was friendly and very welcoming to us. Go there and enjoy a great evening with great food and great service.
