Food was awful and cold, menudo was tough and the rest of the food had been sitting there all day. People were nice but I will never be going back. $43.88 for 3 people was outrageous for just having a little bowl of menudo and a bite of pork chop. ?

I Don't understand the 5 stars,maybe because they used to have another owner and cheff but I went there today and most of the food did not taste good. The beans, the lemonade watermelon and the chips tasted old. I will not be going back. I feel bad for the workers because they need their job but I just think they need more organization and to check on the food more,specially the taste.

i don't mind paying 17.31 for a lunchtime buffet but some of the food was cold and there wasn't enough variety of what to eat most of it was chicken no beef and the rice and beans needed salt it was ok but it will be a while before i go

my wife got a plate that had the "botanita breakfest" had a bit of everything...food tasted wonderful...breakfast buffet on weekends but lunch buffet looks awesome...definitely coming back here again

Came in to try for the first time.Terrible customer service! The girl in the front/cashier had a long face, no greeting, it took a while for the waiter to approach us and bring a menu. When I got up to pay the same cashier made an annoying gesture like “ugh”. The food was okay but why go out to a place they where they don’t want business?
We meet here for family time, the whole experience was fair enough, if there would be some thing to improve it would be the space in the parking lot and eliminate the flies.Kid-friendliness: The waitress was kindly, fast and respectful

It’s crazy to me that this place has four stars. I used to love coming here before I moved to Pharr in 2015. Since then I’ve come about 6 times or so, and every single time, the food that I get (I’m a picky eater and don’t like onions and bell peppers in everything) is really old. For example, the beans taste store bought (I’m a refried bean aficionado lol) and they are advertising selling “frijoles”. Fideo tastes old (IYKYK). And the bean and cheese quesadillas taste extremely old, like the flour tortilla is chewy. Like they’ve been sitting there for a while. Enchiladas? There were three and I got one to taste, and as usual, the chicken is incredibly dry.I don’t plan on coming here again. I waited about 3 minutes at the front to pay because nobody was there. My wife told me I shouldn’t say anything but I did anyway. When I did, “service was great, the food has seen better days”, she didn’t seem surprised or even ask what it was that I didn’t like. On the white board in the back it said “45 people, with a personal name and phone number”, which makes me think that they’re probably still open because they do catering. Which I can’t speak to. Only speak to the quality of food that I ate at 12:30pm-1pm lunch hour. Buyer beware.
