We had dinner reservations at 6 for two of us. When we were seated we waited over 10 minutes and I finally had to tell the hostess we didn't have a waitress. We finally got a waitress but she seemed annoyed the entire night. We started with the verde ceviche which was subpar. The fish was fishy and mealy and wasn't great. I ordered the Baja fish taco and it was literally one giant shrimp beer battered in a tortilla and they left the TAIL ON! Who beer batters a shrimp with a tail!? You can't even tell until you bite into it. Disgusting. We ordered a second round of drinks and the waitress said it was taking long so she would comp them. However our first drinks were two tall beers and the second beers that were comped were shorts. It was ridiculous, I would have just rather paid and got another tall beer especially since it took 15 minutes to get another drink. To cap off the night, we asked for a desert menu and the waitress took 10 minutes to bring that. She never had a smile on her face and seemed annoyed. I really wanted a fun experience and good dinner before a concert but it was definitely disappointing especially for the price. I won't be recommending this place unfortunately.

Was worried about the quality of the restaurant due to other reviews and hadn't been in several years. We specifically overnight on the way to Marfa to stay and eat here. Was not disappointed. The server was exceptional, food wonderful and overall experience an absolute pleasure. Can't wait to come back again!

The restaurant is beautiful. However, the wait staff was uneven. We waited 17 minutes with no service until I flagged a waiter. Note restaurant was not full at all. The food itself would have been excellent; if severed right after it was prepared. When it finally made it to the table it was cold. Our waitress never checked up on us, so we ate around it. When making the reservation I noted that we were celebrating a birthday. It would have been nice if some type of pastry would have been presented. It's the small details that could have made a nice experience to an unforgettable event. Thank you

Lovely place and great atmosphere. We eat the ceviche, the chicken wrap and the tacos, the tortilla soup was a little bit weird. Tacos were the best of the menu. You need to know that they don’t have the bar open in the in the morning. We need to wait until 4 pm when the my open the rooftop.

We went for brunch (buffet), food was very mid, when we first went for food almost everything was close to empty and cold. Fruit bar was the same almost empty. Service was fine. But definitely not worth $40 per person!!! Nothing about that buffet and service is worth $40 to be honest. Not a good place for brunch.

Last time we came to Ambar, the food was great but the service was super slow. Last night we decided to give it another try. This time, the food was good, the service was super super slow. It took over an hour to get our food! I must add, the manager comped our entire meal, and we were grateful for that. But - they've fooled me twice, we won't be going back.

I had come here previously and did not have good service or a good experience. HOWEVER, I went recently to celebrate a birthday and we all had an amazing time. The food was delicious thanks to our wonderful waitress, Stephanie who recommended great dishes. Our wine was fabulous also thanks to the recommendation from Stephanie. She was attentive the entire night, she treated the entire table with such kindness. I will definitely be going back. Thank you Stephanie for such a wonderful experience!

I expected better service for such a high end resturant. Food and drinks were ok but the atmosphere is great.

Ceviche was below average. Guacamole wasn't anything special. Carnitas was pretty good. But I cannot recommend either of the desserts. The rubix cube dessert looked interesting but was barely edible.

I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, very modern art deco vibes and relaxing. The food was phenomenal. The steak was like butter in my mouth and the brussel sprouts were flavorful and tender. The only thing was my server, he took forever and I don't know if it's because I was dining alone Inwas not priority, but, I had to get the attention of the server next to me to get things. Overall the staff was great and food too.

Absolutely amazing hors d'ourvres. I love the artichokes which are delicious, vegan, and enough for 4 people! Also love the Brussel sprouts which are again, enough for many people. My friend and I used these dishes as our main meal and we still had to ask for a box to take some home. Excellent service. I appreciate the great vegan dishes offer, such as mole enchiladas filled with veggies.

I love this place! I love the heart of artichokes as appetizer. We decided to try tuétano and rack of lamb and we were not disappointed, they were amazing! One of my favorite restaurants of El Paso!
