Thirteen09 is a student run restaurant at the ASC campus of EPCC. Advanced students get to practice and hone their skills in fine dining, French cooking and all for a very affordable price. Be sure to tip generously as tips help the culinary student scholarship fund. You can sit down and enjoy a multi-course meal for a fraction of the price you'd pay at a restaurant downtown.

Attended an awards and dinner for migrant assistance groups at EPCC culinary arts building. The food was very good. The minia-auction was a success.

Had an amazing time at THIRTEEN 09 with Reika, Yoshi, and Juan for Yoshi's belated birthday! We had an incredible culinary adventure, trying out a variety of mouthwatering dishes that left us in awe. From the first course featuring Summer Tomato Tasting and Grilled Asparagus Salad, to the delightful entrées like Sautéed Airline Chicken Breast, Grilled NY Striploin, and Smoked Portabella Phyllo Wrap, every bite was pure bliss. The desserts, including the Warm Chocolate Cake and Crème Brulee, were the perfect sweet endings. What sets THIRTEEN 09 apart is that it's not your ordinary restaurant. It's run by talented students as part of a unique program, led by renowned chefs like Chef Lugo, Chef Nickerson, and Chef Gutierrez. Their dedication and skill were evident in every dish. In just 8 weeks of training, they mastered the art of menu-building, cooking, plating, and serving to the public. One of the highlights of THIRTEEN 09 is its open kitchen and visible program spaces. You can witness the students in action, creating culinary wonders, baking delicious treats, and even crafting mesmerizing ice sculptures. It's a truly immersive experience! For an exceptional dining adventure, THIRTEEN 09 is a must-visit. The combination of incredible food, passionate student chefs, and skilled instructors makes it a memorable and unique spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! ‍

Tried this place with a friend. One of my friends is in the culinary arts and working in the kitchen; he helped us get a reservation. They do take some walk-ins as well. There are 2 seating times which are 6 and 6:30 pm only on Thursdays. They might have a lunch service on Tuesdays however, unable to confirm. They have a fixed price of 25$ for a 3 course meal and the menu changes with each month. I started off with the amuse bouche, which was simply amazing and the presentation was very simple; this is a complimentary item. The first course I selected was the corn and poblano soup; the dish was very well made with an outstanding flavor profile, the soup was close to room temperature which was the only downside. My friend tried the aguachile and he wasn't a fan of the pickled flavor however, the flavor profile was complex and nice for a simple bite. I ordered the chicken cordon blue which was decent but the chicken was overdone due to frying . The cheese stuffing was overpowering the chicken flavor. My friend's steak was spot on and excellent. For dessert we got the ChoClate French silk pie and the presentation was eye candy and it tasted smooth and rich. The ambiance is very good. Overall, the food was amazing, however, the service was poor and needs to be improved a great deal.

Found Thirteen09 on Facebook recently and was nothing but impressed with this wonderful 3 course meal. This atmosphere was breathtaking! I will definitely be keeping an eye on future service announcements to make a reservation for my next visit. Kudos to Chef Diaz!

It is the best food in whole El Paso, like in a fine dining restaurant, very delicious, balanced in ingredients and tastes and looking perfect on the plate

Amazing food! My 3 courses meal included a main course, side dishes, salads and an appetizer for $15. You have the option to add wine to your meal. Your food are prepared by EPCC culinary students, and they are amazing. By supporting them, you give them the opportunity to practice their culinary skills. I am still blown away by the freshness of their food. During the pandemic, your food will be delivered to your car. You may want to contact the school first for the next event before you drive here. This restaurant is a perfect place for fine dine at a low cost.
