We decided to try Texan Kitchen for brunch on Saturday, April 27th, attracted by favorable reviews . While the meal was generally satisfactory, our experience took an unexpected turn when we discovered a slug nestled in the Banana Nut Waffle--yes, a SLUG on top of the whipped cream and mint leaf. it was quite a shock. Quickly, we alerted one of the waitress, who promptly removed our plate. Thankfully, we had managed to capture photos and videos of the surprising find beforehand. Seeking further assistance, we requested to speak with a supervisor. After waiting for 20-30 minutes, we asked our waitress, Laura, She kindly took my phone to show the video to her supervisor. Upon her return with our bill, she informed us that the cost of the meal had been removed. However, we insisted on speaking with the manager. Subsequently, a man emerged from the kitchen, accusing us of trying to obtain free food by planting the slug ourselves. his words were " PEOPLE LIKE YOU, I KNOW THEM WHEN I SEE ONE, WHEN THEY TRY TO SCAM ME." His accusatory tone left us speechless. Other customers stood up for us and he decided to change the whole story, stating that they tried to solve the problem many times. After arguing back and forth, we ensured that the cost was added back to our bill, and we paid the full amount, as we had no intention of SCAMMING them. Our intention was simply to raise awareness to prevent such incidents in the future. Although our waitress, Laura, provided excellent service, we have no desire to return to this establishment. It makes one wonder about the conditions in their kitchen. Exactly, cleanliness, is a crucial safety concern in any kitchen. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they chose to accuse us, which is disappointing. it undermines trust in their establishment standards.

Good food and service. This was my first time here and the food tasted like a good home cooked meal. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Euless or passing by for breakfast or lunch. I'm really surprised that there weren't more people there when i went, but it was a rainy Saturday morning (I can see ppl not wanting to go anywhere while it's raining). The stuff is super friendly and nice!

I preordered a pie from this place. I was supposed to pick it up the next day. When I showed up the next day to pick up my order, it wasn’t made. I was told that the guy had a family emergency and he had to leave early, even know I placed the order 24 hours in advance in person. They told me if I came back the next day to get it, he would give it to me for half off, so I said ok. I went back the next day to get my pie and was informed that he had actually forgotten to make my pie, therefore I felt like I was lied to. This pie was supposed to be a Mocha Chocolate Cream pie. The filling was more of a rubbery texture. Definitely not cream! I am a cook and a baker and I 100% could have done a way better job. This recipe was rushed and wasn’t made right. I could’ve bought a frozen pie from the grocery store that would’ve been better. I’m just happy I didn’t pay the $20 they normally charge for their pies. I always give honest reviews and I’m very big on reviews. Before I do any business with any restaurant, or any other business, I always check their reviews. I’m very disappointed with my order and experience, especially as a first time customer. My wife and I had one slice each. The rest of the pie we will probably just throw away.

First of all the place smelled like it hadn’t been sanitized in a while. I had the build your own omelette, fresh fruit and a side of French toast. The omelette was good, but the fruit consisted of unripened, partially peeled pineapple and a few grapes. The omelette was good. The pineapple was inedible and when I asked for another fruit choice they told me there would be an up charge which I didn’t have a problem with, but thought customer satisfaction should be important to them. The French toast was dry with not even a hint of cinnamon. It tasted more like regular toast with powdered sugar. The women’s bathroom had a horrible smell. The toilet I used was dirty and had fecal matter inside the rim. It made me sick. I won’t be going back.

My husband and I were in the area running errands and googled where to have breakfast. Texas Cafe came up and we decided to try it. I’m glad we did because the breakfast was so good! I ordered the Tiny Tim which is 2 biscuitsand gravy with hash browns. It was just the right amount of food and the biscuits and gravy were the best I’ve had! My husband had the breakfast sampler with pancakes and said everything was delicious! I tried his pancakes and they were really good too! Their coffee was really good too. Loved the atmosphere, wait staff was friendly and helpful, we will definitely go back!

If you're black: DO NOT EAT HERE!!!These people are RACIST!!! When you walk in, there's a sign that says to seat yourself. I sat down and was ignored for 20 minutes. The 2 white men who walked in right before me were given coffee. The waitress walked pass me, with the coffee pot, to refill coffee of other customers. I still don't have coffee. I still have not been greeted. I speak to two employees who are walking by. They spoke back, but kept walking and talking to each other. I keep waiting, patiently. Finally I ask for the manager. The lady says, "He's still working." I ask to speak to him. She says something smart to another employee, then goes to tell him I want to speak to him. I see her talking to the manager. He continues working, disregarding the fact that I'd like to speak to him. More white customers enter the establishment. They are immediately given menus. Oh yeah, the waitress walked pass me again, thus allowing me to count the 3 menus in her hand that she gave to customers who arrived after me. Finally, I get up, and walk out.What a huge disappointment!!!!

Went here with a friend and though we were welcomed by a friendly staff, we were also welcomed with a weird odor that just continued to get worse even as we ate our meal. Not sure if it was coming from the kitchen or the restrooms, but it was very unpleasant especially when you're trying the eat. The food, well, I'm a big foodie that always takes pictures of my food and I didn't want to take a picture of what I ordered. It was the Southwest Chicken, which was decent I guess. I've had better chicken sandwiches out there. I guess without the chipotle mayo sauce, it would've just been a very bland sandwich. I'm also a French fry lover and I was disappointed. Not sure how long they've been frozen before being cooked, but they were so pale that I wasn't sure if they were fully cooked. In the end, I didn't finish them, and I always finish what I order. They also had a familiar seasoning on them like the seasoning packets that come with the Ramen chicken noodles. Not sure if that's what they use.

I’ve ordered from this location several times and has always had a great pleasant experience. However, today I ordered 2 separate orders over the phone but was only handed 1 order. I called back after arriving home and the waitress was adamant that she gave me 2. Long story short she found the 2nd order still there. Didn’t offer to remake the order since now it’s more than likely cold. Not only is the food I never gotten is now cold but the food I originally received because I had to drive 20 mins there and back to get the food I didn’t get. No apology or nothing!! Very disappointed
