The food is great and the waitress Lisa was the best. She had our drinks top off at all times and always checked in on us.

3/11/2024 10:48 a.m. -I knew exactly what I wanted when I went in and ordered within 5 minutes of entering the building. Dining room was empty except for 2 other tables, one was already served. Left at 11:18 a m. and no one speaking to me again after dropping off a glass of water.

This place was just what we were looking for! Being from a small town and now living in Fort Worth we were craving classic small town diner food. This place has all of those comfort foods that were a part of small town life. Not fancy, no frills, just good service and honest food. The pricing is very reasonable as well. If you're in the area and craving that food from the past you need to go!

This is one of the hidden gems of the Fort Worth area, a real homespun cafe with great food and great prices. Luncheon specials include coffee or tea, chicken fried steak is one of the best in the area, bacon cheeseburger that would cost $15 in Dallas can be had for less than $9. Good soups and salads and homemade pies! Service is great with friendly waitresses. At one time this place was a bit dodgy, but it was temodelled during the COVID mess and is just fine now. Well worth the drive, I’m not sure which side of the Fort Worth-Benbrook city limits it’s it’s on!

I must say that this place was better than I was expecting. When I drove past this restaurant the first time, there was only one vehicle in front, which increased my curiosity. I went later for dinner. I had the catfish and hushpuppies entree. Although the flavor was bland, I was able to add my own seasoning and ketchup to improve the flavor. They also weren't selfish with the amount of food for the price! I may return to try something else next.

We stopped by this unassuming little cafe near Benbrook for pie and coffee. The cafe was bustling with customers, but the service was fast and friendly. We ordered two coffees, a slice of chocolate pie, a slice of coconut pie, and a basket of French fries. Both pies were delicious, and we never had to wait for a coffee refill. The fries were pretty soggy and greasy at the bottom of the basket, but that happens sometimes...especially in small town cafes. Looking around at what everyone else was eating made us want to come back and sample a few other items.
