Definitely has the older "cafe" menu. So if you are looking for that type of food then yes. Nothing elevated about their dishes and nothing very healthy to choose from either. Disappointed in the price for breakfast items. Trying to support local but 3.75 for one extra egg and 5.45$ side of bacon?!! Might try a dinner or lunch.

I just realized that I neglected to post my review, and that is NOT ok, because I really enjoyed my meal here. I was treated to lunch for my birthday, and it was delicious! I love home cooking and I was treated to a crispy, crunchy chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes topped with a wonderful and creamy white gravy! I will definitely be a regular here, the service was amazing even with my adult daughter dressed as The Pink Power Ranger lol, she had just come from a promotional photo shoot and we bribed her into staying in costume lol. The staff made it a fun and memorable birthday that I will never forget

Old school breakfast place it looks like it has the same menu sense this place opened no innovation or decoration only good old American breakfast and lunch.

WOW. Let's start there. This place was fantastic. The food was soooo delicious. We've never been here and decided to stop in on our way through town and what a great decision. The biscuit was huge and tasty, the hamburger was ginormous and fantastic. My kids devoured their pancakes and my wife couldn't even finish her omelet it was so big. To top that off the prices were great and the staff was very friendly. If I lived here I would certainly go back. Highly recommend to everybody!

Good food, homey feel. Friendly staff. Worked well in finding me something I could eat, due to food allergies.

The home fries are delicious. The cinnamon rolls are fabulous (if you don't like your waistline). Only 4 stars because they offer non-dairy creamer instead of half and half.

Great family who own & have run the Dixie House from the beginning for many, many years. The homemade Chocolate Pie is to die for, but lots of other deserts to choose from, oh & the menu has some really great food... try out the Lunch Specials

Im from out of state, and my cousin recommended this restaurant to us to our sudden visit. We go in and already you get greeted with amazing southern hospitality. The lay out was very warming with the specials posted on the wall and the end amount of family photos on the wall. The waiter took our order very nice and patiently, she even shined in her own recommendation due to it being our first time. Our wait time was about 15-20 mins so not long at all when distracted with the delicious rolls and sweet corn bread they gave us for the wait. 10/10 on the pot roast btw. Very good, juicy, and tender and the carrot and potatoes where perfect! They refilled my water for me having to ask, i love that! After the delicious we we got three cheese cakes to go which i were skeptical about cause i judge really hard on my cheese cake, not all is good. But they were some of the best variety of cheese cake I've had. With the whole overral experience and the delicious food. I give this place 5 starts and highly recommended. If ever in town again i shall come back!
