I really don't see what all the fuss is about, very crowded on weekends, pancakes are okay, nothing to write home about, did I say really crowded and noisey. I think the crepes there were okay though. P S i like it now , German pancake, it is way over crowded but they get you in pretty fast. Over all its a cool place once in awhile. As of my latest visit 04/20/24 construction still on road out front.

This place is very good, my family and I go here a lot the service is always great even when it is busy. The food is always good too. I had the chicken fried chicken it is very good, but the gravy is a little spicy which I didn't like. It is a very good restaurant, if you're in the area you should go. It is also open all the time so that is.

It’s a good spot to eat breakfast but it can be pretty busy weekend mornings and can wait up to 30-40 minutes.

Made our first visit here. We were looking for a late breakfast (about 11:00 AM) and evidently so were a lot of people, because there were a bunch of people waiting inside and out. The place is big so the seating wait wasn't bad at all. My wife had the Big Ol' Burrito, which was huge! I has Eggs Benedict, and we shared their German Pancake. The German Pancake is a huge crepe-like pancake with the final preparation done at your table. It comes out covered in melting whipped butter and powdered sugar. The server takes fresh lemons, juices them at the table, and spreads the lemon juice in with the butter and sugar. The pancake is then folded into a square, cross-sliced, and served. Warm fruit toppings are availed for it as well, which we opted to skip. In a word, DELICIOUS, as was everything else we ate. Service was great, fast, but not too fast, and very friendly. Five stars for sure. Great place for breakfast, and I'm betting lunch too.

Wife and I had breakfast there last night. It was fantastic. Pancakes were absolutely amazing. Home fries were great. Eggs cooked perfectly. Wife had fried chicken which had the best batter I've ever tasted. Service was exceptional and friendly, ask for Laura. We will be back.

The chicken fried steak was overcooked. The hamburger was raw inside. We waited over an hour for refills and two hours for food that was cold. I will not be returning.

Always a great meal at Ol South! The Dutch baby pancake with apples was so good. Our server Stacy gave us great recommendations and was so friendly--she made our morning! Definitely recommend a stop here for breakfast if you're in Fort Worth.

Stopped by since my boyfriend and I were in the area for the eclipse. Wish i got the name of the host/waiter with braids but he was very kind and wiped down our booth cause it was sticky. Victoria is a great waitress and the food and service was phenomenal. Definitely cheaper than I'd thought as well!P.s. Tater Kegs are the GO TO appetizer!
