I used to visit this place at least 3 times a month, when I worked in the area. For some reason nostalgia hit me and I drove here on my way home from Keller...the food is still wonderful, and it's been 6 years, since I've been in this part of the city. I highly recommend that you give this place a try, it's worth it.

If you blink as you drive down Lancaster you will miss the really good tortas at Tapatias. Tortas are made when you place your order and served warm on a fresh bolillo roll. You have your choice of meats topped with avocado, jalapeños, tomato, lettuce, onion and mayo with a side of hot sauce. Make sure to order an auga fresca to drink, it's so much better than a soda! This is a tiny building with drive through and walk-up ordering only. A small porch with a couple of picnic tables are the only options to eat in. The owner takes your order, cooks your food and takes your money.

The grease weighed more than the meat did on my barbacoa tacos.. meat also tasted out of date. Ended up chunking 4 tacos and eating the 20 bucks I spent

The food was edible, but had zero seasoning whatsoever. I got Asada tacos and the meat was basically burned with no flavor or seasoning at all. We also got some flautas, which also had no seasoning whatsoever. Very disappointed will not be back. If you want good Mexican food don't go here. Honestly, tasted like white people made my Mexican food.

The burrito with barbacoa is really good. A lot of places put lettuce and sour cream in their burritos, which isn't necessarily all that good in my opinion. Instead, they put rice, beans, onions, cilantro, and your choice of meat.If you want to try something new come here. If you've already been here and want to try a new item, just know that all of their items are good and you can't go wrong with this restaurant, period.

Awesome food, I love their breakfast burritos and lengua tacos.Kid-friendliness: They have a patio, so the kids can run around freely. Just be careful because the patio is right next to the drive thru window.Parking: Park pretty much anywhere as long as you're not blocking the drive thru, they don't care.
