We have previously dined at Toro Toro on several occasions. This particular visit was not particularly pleasant. We had a reservation for 4 at 7pm. We waited to be greeted at the entrance for approximately 15 minutes waiting to be greeted by a hostess. While we were awkwardly standing around looking for someone to greet us and seat us one of my sons (11 years old) decided to pretend to be the hostess stood behind the unmanned hostess desk. Then the hostess showed up 10 minutes later and was rather rude to my son who touched nothing but was standing where she should have been standing when we arrived. We were there to celebrate my other son's 13th birthday at his request or we would have left at that moment. I let the unfortunate hostess incident go and hoped that we would just enjoy our dinner. It took quite some time approximately 15 more minutes before we were greeted by a waitress and placed our drink order. Our waitress was great but it was now 30 minutes after our reservation. I'm glad that we weren't on a time crunch. The food was quite a bit more expensive than the last time we dined at this restaurant yet the quality and presentation was less than amazing like it had been on our previous visits. Don't get me wrong the food tasted good but I was not wowed as we had been on our other visits. I will definitely think twice before giving Toro Toro another go.

This review is over several trips. Good here is tasty and inventive. Love the choice of appetizers and drinks. Service is on point. I do feel that with the pits and grill in the center of the restaurant I walk out feeling like I smell like a had a steak cooked on my shirt. The presentations of meat are fun and the food is a wow factor.

I was terribly disappointed in their Easter brunch. They advertised a bloody Mary bar, but did not have it. For the price point, it was seriously disappointing. Soft drinks and iced tea were not included in the $75 per person charge. Seriously? Not a single dessert? The noise level was unbelievable! The restaurant is allowed to begin with, but they had a DJ blasting music. You could not hear other parties at the table speak. It was not worth the price.

Awesome experience here! Creative dishes and they all taste great. The ribeye was fantastic. Paired with a very interesting chili sesame sauce & the grilled avocado was a great side. Try the Delicious honey margarita! We would not, however order the cheesecake again. Nice ambience and great service. We will definitely be back.

We ate here after a long day of travel. I wasn't sure what to expect situated in the lobby of a hotel, but wow it was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We ordered the Lomo Saltado and Corn Empanadas. Both were possibly the best I've ever had. The steak in the Lomo Saltado just melted and it all worked so well together. I'd definitely stop here again next time I'm in the area.

We've been here twice in the last month for dinner and brunch. Both times, the food and service were fabulous! Wonderful and kind staff all around. Thankful for the delightful experience to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday.

(SEE PICS) As a reviewer with over 35+ million views, I feel it’s my responsibility to inform others when a restaurant doesn’t take responsibility or handle an obvious error correctly. Read their other negative reviews to see that the bartenders’ continue to provide poor service at the guests’ expense. I’ve never felt so humiliated asking for help with a meal as I did the last time we ate there! Bartenders were whispering and trying to make us feel like jerks for asking for fresh, unburned Plantains so we could actually eat our expensive food. The Plantains ARE the vessel to eat the appetizers. The ceviche alone was $20.00, but how do you eat it without a vessel or chip? Same with the $12.00 guacamole…We’re regulars who come 3-5 times a month and always order the same thing - ceviche and guacamole for appetizers plus meals. We specifically come here for the plantains that are the vessels for both of these appetizers. We were a bit shocked when our server brought dark brown burned Plantains with our appetizer orders. After trying to eat a few of the overcooked Plantains, we asked for fresh Plantains since they are needed to eat both appetizers. The server brought another “batch” of Plantains that were equally burned and dark brown. After a few minutes of going back and forth about why they were burned and learning that they aren’t made to order, but rather fried in big batches in the morning and served throughout the day, we asked to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived, the first thing he said was that the Plantains WERE burned and DID taste horrible - he ate one before coming to meet with us. They refused to fry a fresh batch of Plantains in the kitchen which would’ve been the common sense correction in this situation. They admitted to having fresh Plantains in the kitchen as well as a chef, but they wouldn’t do it. The manager apologized and told us he’d “take care of their mistake on our bill.” We went to pay the bill only to find that the manager decided a 10% credit, less than $5.00 off our entire bill, was sufficient for our ruined evening, the inedible food and $35.00 worth of appetizers that went in the trash because there was nothing to eat them with. This was handled unprofessionally for a restaurant of this caliber! We were made to feel humiliated for asking for help when we were CLEARLY not at fault. I got in the car with trembling hands and tears falling down my cheeks as we drove away! We work too hard for our money and date nights to pay anyone to treat us this way. This used to be our go-to restaurant, but I’ve never felt more humiliation or shock than we experienced the last time we were there. We can’t recommend this establishment anymore and we won’t be returning. My husband reached out to a general manager who responded to our email with the promise to get back to us soon and that never happened, either. Shameful service! We’ve spent thousands of dollars eating here over the last couple of years, but will never come back!

Wow. It was a HORRIBLE experience. I wouldn’t recommend coming here to anyone. They messed up our order, gave it to another table, came to check on us once in an HOUR. When I tell you it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant, I mean it. I had been before and the service was slow, but the food was good so I came back. HUGE mistake. If you have time to waste, then sure. The food is good, I can’t say anything bad about that. It’s the service that was unacceptable.

Every place was full. We couldn't find a place to eat dinner on a Friday night in Ft Worth and this place was meant to be for the night. Even though they were full and it was a hour wait they recommended we sit in the cocktail area and someone can still serve us. Amazing atmosphere in the lobby. TV's and comfortable seating and the service was great. The amount of ground they covered was awesome. Everything was available on the menu except the Tomahawk. The mini Tomahawk was available and to my surprise they still did the presentation for the table. Also the ceviche and swordfish dip were great!

Outstanding does not begin to describe the food & service we experienced. My husband said it was the first great dining he has experienced in years. Our party of 5 opted for the Bottomless.Brunch, & we were glad we did. We got a taste of everything, & it was all amazing. The standouts were Arepas w/scrambled eggs & pork bellies & the Churrasco steak & eggs. The beef was grilled to perfection. The only drawback was the loud Latin disco music made conversation a challenge. Small price to pay for a lovely meal.

Some food was good, some bad. Toughest filet every had. Carrots way under cooked. Ingredients in salad not in menu. Meat skewers good. Shrimp was good. Waitress seemed angry, didn't hardly talk to us. Hardly checked in on us. Tried to charge a "automatic " tip of 25% when there was only 5 people in m our party.

We really had hopes for the brunch since we enjoyed dinner however, we were disappointed. The food came out so slow and the service was even slower. The food was okay as my steak was undercooked and missing my potatoes. Unfortunately we were done eating by the time the server checked in. We will return for dinner only! Not enough choices for me.
