This place is obviously a family run place and the staff is way overworked. Food is good and tortillas are the best. They could use a little more help though on the weekends. Why are all these places in Texas like this one have dining rooms so packed though. I don't recommend this place if you don't like to be packed in a small area with complete strangers.

AR's is a locally owned restaurant by a family that has lived in Freeport, Texas practically all of their lives. The food is excellent moderately priced and the atmosphere is second to none. They have lunch specials everyday which are very affordable and easy on the pocketbook. Not to mention the food is outstanding.

I ordered a faijta taco and they gave me a pan sausage cut in half instead of faijta the taco was so wet and slimy that the tortilla was ripping. The pancakes were dry and my other plate didn’t have cheese on the eggs. I paid 30 dollars for nothing and I couldn’t go back to get a refund because I had to work. I honestly wouldn’t go back it was Terrible

A neighbor recommended this spot when I told them I'd be out in the area. The food wasn't bad per se, but it also wasn't good. This is possiblly the most bland TexMex I have ever had, like someone learning to cook TexMex and this was their first attempt. The rice was overboard with tomato and had a gooey texture. The salsa roja had good heat, but was otherwise uninspiring and too sweet. The ground beef had no character. The chicken wasn't dry, but again had no taste. They give good sized portions, but I'd rather have something with flavor.

Found this place during a fishing tournament, have had every breakfast taco on the menu. Not once have I had a bad breakfast taco from here. And saying Taco is an understatement, it's a Burrito!!
