Getting in was pretty good- it's a busy Friday so waiting was not surprising. The chef rushed us through and I never got extra shrimp. It was clear he didn't want to be here. I brought someone who had never been to hibachi before and it was not exactly the experience I was hoping for him. The food and pricing was pretty good but over all the experience is not what I expect. I ended up asking to leave and it still took way too long to check me out- it's been a long time since I was uncomfortable in a hibachi style restaurant.

We have been coming here for years. The positive:Service is always great, people who work there is very welcoming and friendly. The chef is always great and funny and performs a little enjoyable show. The food is great tasting. The negative:-prices has increased a lot, which is normal nowadays but if I were to spend $50-$100 per person I will choose a different restaurant next time-they put a lot of butter on everything. I do understand it’s necessary but who has a problem with that be aware, food will taste great but your portion is going to have at least 0,5 cup of butter-you are going to smell like burnt food getting out of this placeMost likely we will come back here again since we always ended up here when our friends want to eat this type of food.

Warning. Do not come here. Horrible. No salad or soup. Tried to celebrate special occasion. They screwed up. No one got appetizers until spoke up. There an hour and no appetizers. Horrible. Said they had to fill table. Meanwhile just Sat there. No service!Supposed Manager said server was new. This is horrific. Fix this immediately. Food was cooking before any appetizer. Chef said he was rushed. Ruined my anniversary lunch.

If you want a good hibachi dinner, go anywhere else.I hate leaving bad reviews for places, I'm the type that will only get on Google to rave about a place that I think deserves 5 stars, but I have to make an exception for Jinbeh...I've eaten here a few times over the last few years, the food is "ok", no real complaints with service by the cooks or wait staff, but I do have a BIG problem with the management.I bought my friend a gift card ($50) a little over a year ago because I knew he liked the the place. He's a busy guy (doctor) and has two young kids... doesn't get too many "date nights" with his wife. Well, apparently the gift cards here expire in 365 days, because my friend went in to use the gift card and not only did they tell him that it expired, but they also ripped it up. It was about 2 months past the expiration date. I gave them $50 CASH and we got NOTHING in return.Sure, I can accept that maybe it did state an expiration date, and that he should have made a better effort to use it sooner. But this is NOT a coupon, or Groupon, or whatever. This was a gift card that I paid CASH for. For them to not accept it (which in many states is actually illegal, but not Texas) is just HORRIBLE BUSINESS.I will never go back.

My family and I have been going to Jinbeh for almost 12 years. We go here for lunch or dinner several times a year. We have always had a great experience. Took my husband here last night for his birthday dinner and it was so bad we will never return. Made reservations and go seated. All at our table were so warm we were sweating. They had not air conditioner on. We mentioned this to our server and she just acted like she could not understand us. The other patrons around us were warm as well at their tables. Our server took our drinks and appetizer order, we received those then it took over 30 minutes for our chef to arrive at our table. Our food was great, that is not the issue. Jinbeh has always had great food. My husband always gets the fried rice. It is normally an extra cost for an add odd so we already knew..... But, was not expecting it to be $12.95 extra cost just for fried rice with his already filet and shrimp. Our waitress was so horrible rude that my husband almost got up and walked out. She just seemed to have forgotten about us during while our hibachi was being made. We receive our bill and was stunned that the price. We are used to paying $140 - $160 when we go here. But, not $200. We look and the server had already added a 30% gratuity to our bill. When asked she said they auto add this for parties of 6 or more. Well..... the whole table seats up to 8 and with people we don't know. She also did not give us our itemized bill to see why our bill was so much more than we have normally paid. She got an attitude, and was standing there waiting for us to give her our card. Finally, I just gave it to her and told my husband let's just pay and get out of here. We won't be back. It is sad because we have always gone here many times a year. This place has gone downhill with how rude their wait staff is, then they act like they can't understand our language and just walk off.

Made a reservation here for a friends bday. Went specifically for the hibachi experience. We enter during the week right around average dinner time and it wasn't too long of a wait. Staff was very tentative and our chef was really entertaining. So funny! I just love when food is cooked fresh right in front of you. But always keep in mind that hibachi is on the higher priced end of restaurants. But I think it's fun for families of all af

Gill was our cook tonight and he was the best we have ever experienced! The food was wonderful and cooked to our liking. The only downside was the amount of lingering smoke in the room from the grills. This was my first time seeing the venting on the grill top versus overhead. It seemed that the overhead system is more efficient for removing the amount of smoke produced from many grills in this restaurant.

The cook was great, the waitress (older one with glasses) is very rude, impatient and needs some etiquette polishing. She reaching over food. Grabbing you items without asking if you're done. Taking your glass with your straw. No being me a new drink and take this one after you deliver my new one. Very mast demeanor and when you ask her for something it's always an attitude.

The lady that waited on us was awful. Very rude to say the least! After ordering I wanted to order an extra side of rice. When I ask for a menu she looked at me crazy and rolled her eyes. Then when she brought me the menu she literally told me I couldn't add anything to my order. I was in shock because I came we came here to eat. The guy that cooked our food was kind but he had no excitement for what he was doing. Just a very very bad experience. I was very disappointed.

Jinbeh is, unfortunately, going downhill, it seems. We LOVE the flavors of Jinbeh. Our last several visits, however, have left us underwhelmed. Tonight, I bit into one of my shrimp, and it still had the outer casing on it. Not great. The steak was a little overcooked, as it has been the last several visits. The flavors were all there and wonderful...but the lack of service and attention to detail is killing it for me.We were almost halfway through our main course before they ever removed our salad and soup bowls. As you know, it can get quite crowded, so they tend to remove them immediately. That was not the case tonight. I thought I was either going to have to leave my leftover fried rice (practically gold) or stand up screaming and waving my arms to flag someone down for a to-go box. No one offered any boxes, so after they got the check, we never saw them again.Overall, their traditional garlic butter flavor that they're known for is still there, but the consistency, quality, and service has been going downhill. We will continue to give it a try in hopes that it can pull itself out of its rut, but not for too much longer.

Great place for hibachi! I came to eat lunch here a few weeks ago. We walked in around 12pm. The restaurant was not packed at all. I ordered the steak hibachi and it was delicious. The portions are huge. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I’m so happy we found this place!

We have been going to Jinbeh for years, and were disappointed at this visit. It's very pricey, although the food is consistently good. It was sooo noisy that we had to shout to hear one another and the ventilation was not working at all, so the place was full of smoke. We almost didn't stay until they propped open the back door. It was freezing outside so while the open door added much needed ventilation for smoke relief, but then froze us with the wind coming in. This was a birthday celebration for a 50th birthday. We won't do another celebratory event there because although pricey, the ambiance is just not there. :-(
