We went to La Unica with an open mind. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The carne asada and salsa are good by themselves. The taco platter and burrito were a huge disappointment. They were bland and we had to add salt and salsa for flavoring. We received 1 napkin and a cup of ice with no water. My husband and I had to share a napkin because the staff was no where to be seen while we are our food. I really wanted to like this place because it's a small business, but we will be taking our money to the other taquerias we like.

Very bad service, I ordered some tacos and with the cilantro and onion on the side and they wanted to charge me for it, and the bad-tempered lady, if she is a waitress, has to be kinder, not even if the food was so good ??How a Mexican restaurant has nothing

very bad service, I do not recommend it

My parents were in town and looking for a local Mexican restaurant similar to what we experienced in south Texas, and I remember passing by this place in the past. The establishment looks like it was a home converted to a restaurant, so definitely has a very intimate ambiance and was exactly what we were looking for. There’s a small dining area of about 6-7 tables, so not a lot of room but that was not a problem for us. We had to park across the street as there were only a few parking spaces, but again, wasn’t an issue for us.Our server was attentive and the owner stopped at our table to chat and refill our coffee. She chatted with my parents about their home towns in Mexico.Menudo, caldo de res, and guisado de puerco were all good. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a small Mexican restaurant with homemade food. It reminded me of the restaurants you find down in the Rio Grande Valley.

Really fresh, authentic food that tastes amazing!Everything I've eaten here is great and prepared just right.
This place really SUCKS!!! Dont let the pictures fool you. The food is not all that good. The Caldo de Res was awful!!! No meat, no vegetables. TERRIBLE customer service. The old lady that works there has an EXTREMELY bad attitude and rude, as if she is bitter at life and everyone. As it was my first time visiting there, I will ABSOLUTELY will not be returning there nor will i recommend it. Very disappointing.
