Fabulous happy hour! 1/2 price bottle of wine and great deals on apps! We enjoyed oyster shooters, fried green tomatoes, and fried calamari. All were delicious! Perfect batter and seasoning on the fried food. The seafood bisque was full of meat and flavor. I prefer a thicker base, but this was good! The blackend shrimp was delicious, and the rice and okra spiced just right. The end of the meal was finished with French toast bread pudding, delicious!Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time.Explore everything!

We had such a nice time. The service was beyond amazing. Food was delightful! I saw managers helping expedite the food. I wanted to get a bag for to go order but I knew our waitress was so busy so I was carrying my containers. The manager came outside with a bag without me even asking! I told him I didn't want to bother her and how great she was. What a great dining experience. I highly recommend. Oh. The fish and chips are everything! So yummy. My husband had the shrimp linguine and cleaned his plate. He said it was amazing.

Food is amazing, cooked very well. The service was fast as we ordered to go which only took them about 10min to make. I highly recommend it if you like seafood and the area is amazing due to the nice amenities around such as the stadium and many other restaurants and hotels near by.Parking: Street parking and paid parking garage

Ordered our meal via DoorDash and it arrived in a timely fashion. The okra was so good, lots of flavor and not mushy at all. The fried pickles were crisp and served with ranch. The Ceasar salad was also amazing. All portions were nice for the price. I can’t wait to dine in and try more items.

I cannot recommend this wonderful establishment enough. One of the greatest meals of my life. From top to bottom, I could not find anything to critique and that is how I approach my meals. The boudin balls and piquant sauce were perfect and no grease. The fried green tomatoes are great and sent over the top with the blackened shrimp. The calamari was tender and crispy with no grease. The entrees, we got the fish and chips which was so large meaty and flaky thar it took you to a coastal restaurant. Too many fries for two people to eat, but delicious they were. The shrimp piquant had no shortage of shrimp and did I mention that the piquant sauce was perfect? The French toast bread pudding was delectable with the right amount of ice cream to go with it. The key lime pie had raving reviews as well. It was supposed to be taken home and shared, but the sharing part did not happen. The biggest surprise of the afternoon was the oyster shooters with Tito's. I've had oyster shooters up and down the coasts, and have never found one as good as my first one in San Antonio until today. James you are running a good store at The Star and our service was wonderful. It had the vibe of being coastal. Go as slow as you want, but the food came out quickly. Note: recommend that you order your entree halfway through your appetizer. We did this and it was perfect timing.Vegetarian options: There are a few.Dietary restrictions: Will cook to order as much as they can.Parking: Parking is available but hit and miss on the street. Plenty in the garage.Kid-friendliness: Did not have this experience today.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely has wheelchair access.

OVERPRICED AND OVERCOOKED!Way too expensive for what it is, portion sizes were small. Bacon wrapped shrimp came out with burnt, inedible bacon. This place ruined a romantic dinner. We left hungry and had to get food with ice cream at Dairy Queen after. Parking also sucks in this location, its a "trendy" area and you are paying for that not the quality or quantity of food.

Tried this place for lunch today and it was SO good! The food was 10/10. We had the calamari and shrimp and catfish! We also got a mule flight which was delish. The service was just as good as the food! We’ll definitely be back!

This place was amazing and low key. The manager and our waitress were great. Let me add. I'm not a drinker. Watching the bartender work was nice. He is a master. He was making some drink where he burned a piece of wood and took the smoke and caught it in a glass. Nice. The manager took time to explain to me and my brother. I won't try to say it again. Amazing place. Will go again next time I'm in town..Wheelchair accessibility: It was ok. The door could have had an automatic door opener

This was one of the best meals I've ever had! Each dish in my meal was exceptional! Great creativity without losing heartiness. Simple items that transcended ordinary and became special because of surprising seasonings and attention to detail in preparation.

Not bad, but not great, a tad pricey! We will go back to try entrees. Tried a dozen shrimp, two crab cakes both excellent but pricey adding up to $40. As well, we had the crab and shrimp bisque, which, although pretty good, was not a cream base like most traditional bisque I've had. It was tasted to me like a rich butternut squash with ample shrimp & crab. The atmosphere was pleasant, like many of the other restaurants at the Star. We will be back
