What happened to Los Compas? Did they go out of business? I will miss the great food and family.

All I can tell you is that we left Galveston 16 years ago and I still think about our Sunday brunches among friends at Los Compas. It was, and in my mind remains, the gold standard of simple, delicious, Mexican/ Tex Mex food.

I was shocked when I ordered 2 breakfast tacos (I kept calling them tacos, but they're burritos), an horchata, and a cup of water and my total was over $20. But let me tell you-these burritos are enormous and absolutely amazing-the best burritos I've had in a really long time. Loaded with egg, meat, and cheese, I enjoyed every bite. And the flour tortilla highly recommend this place!

I would have given 0 Stars. Being a local, I like to try new things. I decided to try this place and that was a huge mistake. I used their online Menu. I ordered by phone for pick up. I order 5 grande Burritos, and few bean and cheese and a few potato and cheese burritos. They were supposed to be 2.50- 3.50 each. When I got there to pick up the total was $95 for a family of 6 for breakfast. We typically eat at Denny's for around $50. Then the lady had the audacity to argue with me!!! She said that that's not their online Menu and that they don't have one but it's on THEIR website. ??? She showed me their actual in person menu and it's clearly the same. Old prices of 3.50 even marked over and the price change written over. $95.

Best breakfast I've had in Galveston. Huge breakfast burritos with homemade tortillas. The salsa is so yummy and spicy too

I ordered the chicharron plate and it was very good and spicy just the way i like my chicharrones. This has been the best chicharrones i ever tasted outside my home. Keep it up Los Compas!!!!!! ?

Our kids always like burritos from Los Compas. I warn you though, the burritos are large. One can be split between two kids under the age of 10

they price gouge due to 45st construction project and Coronavirus..The no longer sell barbacoa by the pound, but will gladly sell you a small barbacoa burrito for $9.95. Los Compas should be ashamed of themselves for using such shady businesses tactics. Next they'll be saying they seen a image of The Virgan Mary in a tortilla or chip just to bring in business. Shame on yall, and to think yall are a B.O.I business, no self respecting B.O.I establishment will resort to price gouging during a time.of crises. Support small local businesses, just NOT LOS COMPAS

The place is small and the furnishings are not all that but who cares!! This place dominates when it comes to its food and the owners are always there and know everyone by name. This is a place to come home too!

I was blown away by your burritos. I'm upset I only travel once or twice a year through there but I definitely have to try more the next time I'm there. Price hit me by surprise but only because a family of 6 will price shock you but when we saw the size and the quality...thank you for a great experience

The best Mexican food on the island hands down, then and now! Rodrigo always treats us like family and he never forgets jack and his appetite This is where his love of burritos began! Jackson had the Grande burrito which a grown man normally can't finish and I had the quesadillas- both delicious as always. There's not a thing on the menu that isn't good and you will always go home with leftovers, a full belly and a smile!
