We stopped by for a quick breakfast. Mixed reviews on everything.Food was good. Miga burrito 5/10. The miga plate says it has cheese and beans and I thought it would be made the same. It just had eggs and tortilla chips with a slice of bacon. The Chorizo ala Mexicano plate 10/10. Ask for extra tortilla and was given one for free. They were delicious. The server gave us the wrong food. But was quick to apologize and correct. I have a problem with really long hair and no hair nets. Saw this twice. More attention paid to staff on break then on the guests.I would return for a togo order.

My second time here and was as good as the first!! I about love the family atmosphere! I love to support small family businesses. Food is amazing! I love the upfront honesty about the wait time. Hey good food is worth the wait!

I hate to say this, but I don’t think they season their food AT ALL. I’m a white dude and there’s just… no flavor? Like, to anything. Their salsa may as well be red colored water to be honest. Their tortillas are fantastic but frankly, everything here is bland and sub-par. I feel bad saying that since everyone who works there is amazing

Our first time to eat here and will not be out last. The food was made to order, hit and delicious. The staff was attentive and very friendly.

The wait to get your food is ridiculously long 40+ mins . There is only 1 guy taking and giving out orders . There is another guy who I guess is the “host” just sitting with his hand behind his neck .Chips stale and dry ,Can’t tell you about the food cause I haven’t gotten itUpdate : did get our food about an hour later. The food was good but the wait was just too much . It was a bit busy but like I mentioned only one person was roaming and giving out orders

Mi Abuelitas! We love the breakfast here! The Authenticity of the Mexican food, the flavors of the Mexican dishes are delicious! The aroma cascading in the air of the fresh Mexican food being cooked. There signature enormously large homemade flour tortillas are the serving of 3 tortillas in one! we love it here!

The chips were cold and very thick and hard. There was a heavy cinnamon taste in the enchilada sauce. There was a ton of sauce on the plate that took over the rice and beans. My friend got the tacos and the shells were fried in old grease. The tea was barely more than water. Waitress was nice.Facility isn't very clean.

This spot is a great place for a casual evening out. The food was excellent and the service was very good!

This place appears to be owned and run by seniors. Restaurant looks like it has been there forever. This is not a tourist trap...all the locals were eating there. Placing the order took a little bit longer than normal, and the wait was definitely longer than normal. However, the food was worth the wait and it tasted absolutely phenomenal! The tortillas were really good and homemade, and my chicken enchiladas tasted amazing. However, the salsa was watered down to the point that it was pink water, and the chips were stale, but this seems to be the norm there and many people eating it like it was the best thing ever. Perhaps it is a cultural thing or just a community supporting one of its own.As most folks working there are seniors, be prepared for a wait. Be polite and be kind. However, the food is GOOD. Four stars because of the salsa water and the stale chips, as I love me some salsa and chips. Fix that and it would definitely be five plus stars.

We used to look forward to coming to eat but the quality of the food is not what it used to be. Ever since Covid the prices have gone sky high which I don't mind paying if it's good but it was not good at all. Asked for a taco and was charged for a burrito and the owner was very rude by saying tacos are small and burritos are big and I should have known better and she didn't want to make the adjustment. We are from out of town and always ordered plates and the waitress should have know better the cook that read it wrong. Now we are going to El Rey's and the food is much better and priced reasonably. Don't care for rude people, I go to enjoy not to have to deal with a bitter greedy person. Never going back!

When you leave, your hair and clothes will smell like fryer grease and you'll have to do the laundry. Went for breakfast. If you like really thick flour tortillas (homemade), you might like these. The breakfast burritos were folded in half rather than rolled up. The cook forgot to put the bacon in them, but the waiter graciously and swiftly handled it. The eggs are not well beaten before cooking, so there is a lot of white in with the scramble. Very mediocre, but great prices.

Stop here on our way back home from getting off the Carnival ship. Google referred here as a place to eat breakfast, and I'm glad we did. 5 stars in food taste, portions, services, and you can sense at family oriented atmosphere. Employees were smiling and laughing. Felt good to be around that.

I've never had a bad meal from here. Everything is always fresh and tasty. The tortillas are fresh made and delicious. My only complaint, if it can be called that, is when they run out of avocado to add to my burritos. Love this place. Love the people there. You don't come through, you're missing out.

This place served the Best Home made Flour Tortillas I have ever eaten, and I've eaten many tortillas. If at anytime you're near Galveston Stop here to eat, you'll have the best food on the island, because they make every entree as it is ordered. The service was good considering the place was full of people. Did I tell you that they make the BEST flour tortillas!
