Came in with my finance and our daughter, no one was there. So we sat down and an employee came in, I said hi to him and he didn’t say a word to any of us. We sat there for a few minutes and still no one said a word and we were the ONLY people there. We tried to talk to them but got ignored then realized that they didn’t even have rice or beans and after being ignored for around 5-10 minutes we just got up and walked out.

Was looking for a non tourist trap local place to eat after a cruise, so we stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The owner greeted us with a very friendly hello and explained the menu. We received our two orders of street tacos, chicken, steak, and pork, which were all delicious. They came with a small side of beans, which were incredible as well. It's possibly the best I have had. It's a small, what I would imagine take out since it was counter service and seating was limited to four, four-top tables. I believe our two orders of tacos which was four tacos each and three Mexican Cokes came to around 27.00.If I lived in the area, I would frequent this restaurant quite often.

Where to start:Atmosphere: outside from a night walking around downtown. They had the music playing. The outside looks so bright and festive on the dark streets. There was a lot of people out walking around as it was St. Patrick weekend. Looks like a great stop and they also have some outside seating. Inside is kinda small but it's still plenty of space for small groups of 5 or 6.Food: we had the birria and comes with consume which I love. the tacos were tasty and good. We also had an order of regular tacos. They were also pretty good. Would I order from here again in Galveston. Absolutely. The food is amazing. I do recommend. We had 3 orders of birria. I asked prior to ordering if they came with beans and rice and was told no. it came with consume, which was delicious. We also had an order of tacos and 2 drinks. I can't remember the total because I paid cash and could get a receipt but I did get a receipt for the 2 drinks and it was $7 and some change.Service: the guy working the counter is not very friendly. When asking questions about the menu he seemed annoyed. He also got upset when I asked for my receipt. Started turning the register around telling me it was broken and he couldn't do it. It's fine. Sometimes stuff happens but as the customer it's not my fault it's broken. Just simply apologize and move on.Parking is a little difficult if you're not looking to pay and hang out downtown for a bit.Overall. Would I stop here again. For the food, yes. The atmosphere, yes. I will even say yes to the service.... maybe he was just having a bad night. I'm all for second chances.

A small place with 4 tables. Walk up counter to order. Bottled drinks available. We ordered the taco plate, Al pastor, comes with 4 street tacos and charro beans $10.99. They do not sell the tacos Al a carte unfortunately. Also ordered the chile con queso with chips, $8.99. The beans were very good. The tacos were decent. The queso was a huge disappointment, straight up thick nacho cheese sauce out of a can with some tomatoes, onions and peppers thrown in. The employee was strictly business not friendly but not rude.
Came to Galveston to work and been trying different places since I been here and this place had the best tacos so far
