Rita's is always good. Location is very lacking. Parking is blah but room inside the gas station. They have some table out in the sun next to the busy road. However service and food is good.

My family decided to try Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard in Galveston. I ordered the Strawberry Watermelon Gelati. It's made up of a Strawberry Watermelon Italian Ice topped with Vanilla Custard. This location is by the seawall. It's kind of small inside but it's a great location for a cold sweet treat. The service was great. There were two friendly women at the counter who greeted us as we walked in. They asked what we needed and gave us what we ordered quickly. After we paid we went outside to a large seating area. The Gelati was really good. The ice was sweet and the custard on top was smooth and creamy. It was a great place to stop and try a cold sweet treat.

Window service after 8pm, server was very friendly and helpful with choices. Mango icy was a recommendation and he was right . Wife got the vanilla ice cream Oreo, peanut butter classic and she loved it. Got an urge for icy or ice cream , I would highly recommend Rita's .

The young man working on the evening of 9/13 provided excellent customer service! He was genuinely welcoming, and told me he had only been working there for a few days. I wish I had gotten his name, but I hope he is recognized for his wonderful hospitality.
