Excellent as always. Loved the lobster bisque soup and crab finger appetizer . Had our favorite Chilean sea bass, delicious. Enjoyed a complimentary birthday desert. Thanks to John Paul, Jarrod and our waiter Lazar. We'll be back!

A true Galveston Gem. There are only about 15 tables here. The attention to detail and quality is unmatched. John Paul and his crew do so well to make your experience here the best it can be. Thank you for keeping Traditional Fine Dining at its Best.

We had guests visiting from out of state so we wanted to treat them to a special dinner on their first night in Galveston. The Steakhouse at San Luis Resort was the right decision! We've always had the tastiest steaks cooked to perfection and the best service here. Jon Paul & Lazar understand the art of fine dining. It's the little thoughtful touches that make the difference and we very much appreciate their attentiveness. The timing of each dish was spot on! The wine list is impressive and we were able to order a bottle of one of our new favorite Italian wines. We look forward to to dining here again soon. Thank you for making our guests feel special & for a wonderful evening.

THIS PLACE ☆☆☆☆☆ is amazing! We went there to celebrate a big event in our life, and they did not disappoint! First off, they created a very pleasant, romantic and yet professional environment. The serving staff was terrific, professional and personable. We asked for Oysters Rockerfeller, which isn't even on the menu, and they delivered. They can do this with a prior ask when you make your reservations. Their oyster Rockefeller is THE BEST ever, and WE travel! Request it in advance and you won't regret it! Also, we tried the stuffed shrimp appetizer. This shrimp is graded as U2, meaning two shrimp make a pound. It's butterflied and stuffed with several ounces of crab and delivered with this amazing butter sauce, (it was a special). Just do it! This special shrimp is imported from the Indian Ocean. O.M.G... YUM!! After some wonderful appetizers, I just wanted a light salad with their ahi tuna Ala cart. Again, they delivered. My husband's scallops were huge and cooked perfectly! These were about an inch and a half in diameter and about an inch thick. Don't forget to finish off your evening with a delicate, light and rich cheesecake! It's worth it! You're worth it! Enjoy!!!A BIG thank you to John Paul and Rich. They reeeally took care of us!!Parking: Just use the Valet service! They guys are super friendly and it's worth it!

Our entire experience was five stars plus. Our host, JonPaul was a special treat making our anniversary dinner special and individually appointed with care. Lazar our server was the perfect balance of care and distance allowing us to have our attention focused on each other, and never being without a single item or need immediately addressed. We have already planned our next special outing at the San Luis Steakhouse. Thank you JonPaul!

We were greeted as soon as we walked up and seated right away. The wait staff was excellent and very attentive but not to the point of hovering. The food came out in a timely manner and was very delicious. The only thing that we were not thrilled with was the actual table we were seated at. It was in the middle of the room and we felt as if we were in the way of the wait staff and other guests who were coming in to and leaving the restaurant, so dinner was not as quiet and intimate as we had hoped for.

Great service! I surprised my husband with a pre-Valentine's dinner reservation, and the host sat us in a wonderful booth. However, the environment was very loud that it was difficult to have conversation with anyone, and the waiters had to yell at their guests to share the daily specials, etc. Beef filets were cooked perfectly, but the flavor of the meat was not good, and the meat itself was fairly tough. For the price and quality of the food, this wasn't worth the trip this time.

My first time there was in November and it was one of the best meals I have had in life! The absolute best lobster bisque I've ever tested! Other high notes are the soft shell blue crab and brisket mac & cheese. My partner said it was the best steak he's ever had as well. Our server was amazing and made the experience extra special. I forget her name but it was a lady with blonde hair. We recently went back and I had the beef wellington, mushroom & onions and lobster mac & cheese. And OMGosh, the butter cake is a foodie's dream!!! Out #1 fave spot now!

It was an amazing date night! JP was amazing as always. I LOVE their non alcoholic wine. It went great with that bone in filet. I wish I could remember the waiter's name, but we loved his suggestions, and he didn't steer us wrong. There was a band in the bar, so it was a little louder than usual, but it was so much fun after dinner to go listen to live music! This was a spectacular night!

It was nice. It was a set menu for New Year's Eve which I was not told about when they called and confirmed our reservations. The food started out well but by time we received the main course it was okay. The menu was overpriced.

I got a sangria but it didn't have enough citrus. The spinach salad was large but the bacon vinegrette was heavy and bland. It was okay but I was expecting a stinger bacon flavor. The fillet was good but not for the $70.00 price. My boyfriend got a smoky old fashioned that was really good. The potatoes Au gratin were good but, again, expected more seasoning. He also ordered the wagu beef Wellington which was pretty good. He ordered it medium but it still had a good amount of pink in the middle.

The wait staff was phenomenal, friendly, highly attentive and kept our water full! I like that the managers and other wait staff would come and check on us throughout the meal and also covered clearing the table while our Waiter was waiting on a couple other tables. Roberto was awesome, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive! The crab cake delicious and flavorful, meaty but not too bready, with big lumps of crabeat on top. The Wagyu Fillet's were D-E-Licious is what my wife said, they also came with Demi glace and a homemade hollandaise sauce, that were both great on their own but phenomenal when mixed together! The brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection, not a super strong brussel sprouts taste, but flavorfull especially with the pine nuts to set it off! The Lobster Mac and Cheese, what can we say? The house favorite lived up to it's status! P.S. there's lobster in thar! The passion fruit pineapple mocktail was devine! You kind of forget that you are drinking a mokcktail! Strawberry mint mocktail was good, not too sweet but not bland and I feel the mint pared well with the flavor. The butter cake has a nice subtle sweetness for dessert that is just the right finisher for a wonderful dinner date!
