This is closed. There's nothing to rate now. Used to be great but now it's gone so.... Wish it hadn't left. We used to go fairly often because the food was delicious and the atmosphere was laid back and beachy casual.

Great ocean front restaurant and bar, great drinks, great food, awesome relaxing atmosphere. My bartender Nate was quick and attentive and friendly... if ya haven't tried it you definitely should! Will be back for sure!

Troy was an EXCELLENT waiter. He was very patient with us moving outside last minute & even though we moved outside he continued to provide excellent service. The food was hot & very good as well. Everyone in our group of five enjoyed the experience. Thanks Texadelphia and especially thanks Troy!!

I think this place has closed.

Slow, slow, unbelievably slow. Eat somewhere else. Nice wait staff but some sort of kitchen problem is slowing the food beyond what people usually want to wait for.

They talk about the ghosts of Galveston, and I'm beginning to think there's some validity to that. This place has been everything restaurant wise that didn't work out. The Ocean Grill was here for a while, then a Burger Chef. Admittedly, failed endeavors in their own right due to different reasons. Its not a bad location, other than Benno's is next door. The food here is merely ok, and its a great place to watch a game. However, I would caution any entrepreneur that wants to open, particularly, a restaurant in Galveston. The same formula for success that works in other cities does not work here. You can be a mega hit in Houston or Dallas, but that doesn't mean its gonna work in Galveston. I've seen it time and time again. The locals like their dives and generational family places, and the tourists enjoy the hyper glitziness of anything the Landry's chain has to offer. Extremes: downtown vs uptown with middle class fair caught between the sides. Slumming vs stepping out. That characterizes, at least modern Galveston restaurant business in G-town. You've never seen a Red Lobster, or Boston Market, or Applebys in Galveston, because the tourists don't want that, and the resident can get that at home. I've mocked Scrimp and stuff, and Queens for being a locals' favorites, but that doesn't mean they're right; just deluded. The whole concept of Texadelphia is questionable for Galveston. Basically, you had a carpetbagger from Philadelphia in the early 80s come to Austin and introduce the cheesesteak with a southwestern flair. Prohibition Reds tried to do the same nonsense years ago by creating a fictional character that came to Galveston in the late 1800s and introduced nacho cheese potato skins to post Texas Republic, and post Civil War society. Yeah, I'm sure that really happened. Now, again that concept may have worked in Austin with transplants, college kids, and the burgeoning computer corridor, but in Galveston its held little appeal. To be fair, the parking is atrocious, but I think the underwhelming menu is the real drawback.

Yummy! The service was great. Our food was served really quickly. The portions were really big and very tasty!

If you’re looking for a good Philly cheesesteak, Texadelphia is where it’s at!! My server was Jennifer, and she gave me a super great experience! I really enjoyed her great attitude and sense of humor! She recommended I’d try a French dip philly, and boy, it was amazing! I also enjoyed a liberty bell smash! I highly recommend that beverage! Thanks for the great time!

So I'm kinda in love with this Texadelphia. Being a cheesesteak aficionado, this location was leagues better than the one in Memorial. Better still, the staff was charming and ensured I had a great experience here.

The service was weird and slow. Restaurant was about half full, and I believe we only saw our waiter twice the whole time. Once to take our order and another time he brought a refill. Otherwise it was random other people serving us or us having to ask other staff for things. Our table was definitely being passed over. For example, a table that came in the same time as us already had their meals before we even got to order ours. Our simple chips and queso appetizer came out at the same time as our entrees, when they were serving it to other tables that came in after us. We were there about an hour and a half total which is a verrryyyy long time for my husband and I to eat, as we are usually in and out. That being said, my husband and I both really really liked the food and will probably be back for the cheesesteaks. Maybe to-go next time.

If you want to go to a place that gets 3 of 5 orders wrong, a salad with water in the bottom, wait forever for your drinks, not get silverware, and a waiter that has no idea what is going on with his table, all while the restaurant is at 20% capacity, this is the place for you.

Walked in on a Friday night not that busy so we were told to sit wherever. Waitress came took our drink order and disappeared for ten min. Came back with our drinks which was the most unsweetened tea I've ever had, took our order and disappeared again. Got our food which wasn't hot and asked for some silverware and mustard. Waitress walked away and forgot everything we asked for. Asked her three more times for mustard and was about to walk and grab it from another table and she brought it out. Food was ok but not hot at all and seemed like it had been sitting out for a while before being brought to us. Will be my last time coming here, just not impressed with waitstaff or food quality at all.

Due to poor area parking, we chose this place for lunch. It was overall a "meh". Building - Outside is in decent shape. We ate inside, but there seems to be around a 50 person outdoor seating area overlooking the water. The inside is the usual "sports bar" theme though it's a bit dated. Dark walls, a sticky floor, and a sticky table. Our waitress had a hard time picking up the menu off of the table. Service - The wait staff was pretty friendly. Dished out the drinks and food quickly when they were ready. Food - This place does have a decent sized menu. We ordered onion rings to start. They were double well done and very oily. Entrees were the original cheese steak. For a place that had four tables going, these took a long time. I would imagine the cooking time on the flat top would be 3-4 minutes. These took 15 minutes. The sandwich had cheese and grilled onions and was pretty tasty. I'd order again. Overall - A sports themed place that could use an update.
