There was only one person working the entire bar. It took forever to get our food & drink order. The food was mediocre and way over-priced. This place could have potential if they were properly staffed.

Went here years ago when visiting Galveston and loved it, was excited to return but what a let down. We waited 30 minutes with no server or anyone noticing us. Walked in to restaurant and assumed we were supposed to go on to deck to order. We saw a cook at kitchen window but he never noticed us. Sat outside near bar to watch the water and woman at bar never said anything as she was walking around behind the bar, talking to the one couple that was seated at the bar. We saw a few other patrons come in and seat themselves only to leave after a bit when no one had waited on them. We finally just went to pick up our own menus. I stood at the bar while a tall skinny many walked around the bar, he finally acknowledged me and I asked if we were supposed to order our food there. He seemed confused and said the other woman could get it but he could get our drinks. My husband put in our food order about 15 minutes later. The cook took a good 10 minute break at the bar before going to make the order. He was also seen coming back to the bar and making drinks. Food was burned, tater tots were so hard when I pressed on them they burst and parts of crisp potato rockets flew everywhere… It was bad, I don’t know what happened to this place but it went severely down hill. None of the staff seemed to know what they were doing or where they even where they were. Could be a great place for families, it’s in a prime location- maybe someone that knows how to run a restaurant can come in and save the place.

November 30th....Another great bike ride and another great day here! Taco Tuesday and awesome service. This is a really awesome place! We ride our bikes here and have breakfast which is fantastic! Friendly staff, awesome atmosphere, great drinks and good food.

The loaded fries are amazing… red shrimp are a no go… the person I was with ate them for lunch and between 4-5 hours later they were crippled over in pain with food poisoning. I ate one shrimp and didn’t like it at all so they ate the entire rest of the platter alone. I feel fine while they are extremely sick (I’ll spare the details). Please be cautious when eating here.Service was good, however they were also out of of SO MANY things. Specific ingredients to some of their drinks, no cocktail, and no nacho cheese for the fries. I wish I could recommend this place. The view was beautiful but not worth risking your health.

My husband and I decided to try Flip Flops on a Sunday evening about 6:30. There was no one in the dining room, a couple and a group of 4 at the bar and a couple at a table. The bar tender told us we could sit where we wanted. We sat at a table. There was no QR code for the menu so we waited for someone to bring us a menu. 7 min later, 2 guys walked in and began to sit at the bar. The bar tender greeted them before they were even sat down. We decided they apparently didn’t need our business so we left and went somewhere else to spend our money.

Saturday with biker event weekend. kept us fed and buzzed despite getting busier and busier. Great job. Excellent variety of music by the dj. Needed a break from adulting. Thanks!

Stopped by after an afternoon on the beach. Wonderful large patio on a pier over the ocean. Had a tequila soda mule, which was very light and refreshing, and fish tacos, which were healthy and delicious. Bartender took excellent care of me. Met some nice people at the bar. Will be back.

Terrible. Waiters didn't care, forgot orders, you have to get their attention. Women's bathroom is the worst. They basically ran out of everything on the menu. Really gross place.

Our 2nd visit tonight and was just as good. He ordered the garlic/parmigian wings, I ordered the mahi-mahi tacos and the chicken tacos. Both were crazy delicious, and a plus for me….Taco Tuesday prices!! We chose to sit outside cuz….Gulf and Beach!! Lance was our bartender, not only knowledgeable about the menu, but can make a mean drink! I don’t write reviews, but this is the place y’all need to check out!!
Since they advertise "Breakfast All Day" and several plates cone with "Free Coffee", it was astonishing that the waitress said she wasn't sure if she knew how to work the coffee machine but would try . . . after waiting 15 min or so and she never returned to take our order and not knowing if we would get the free coffee, we chose to leave.

The 2 stars are for food. Was decent but not memorable. Sat at the tiki hut bar. Bartender service absolutely terrible. Appears they would rather huddle with their buddies and consume free shots than take care of paying customers. Bar top was really dirty and no attempt to clean it. This place had so much potential. Too bad it has gotten to this point. My money will be spent somewhere else.

Cool place to hang out. Glad they finally reopened this old bar. The food is pretty good and so are the drinks. Prices are reasonable. Just keep in mind its a little bit of a hole in the wall but dont let that spoil the good time you'll have here
